This resort really was for those who like to party! My husband and I did enjoy ourselves and the views of the ocean that this resort had to offer. A few things to consider when booking are that the beach is not swimmable in front of this resort. The waves and undertows are too intense for any one to be in the water, but a swimmable beach is not too far away and within walking distance. This resort does not provide transportation too or from the airport, but you are able to get a taxi or uber within a minuet out front. There are 3 pools and a party pool that is exclusively for the themed riu parties! There are many restraunt and buffet options along with snack and taco bars.
The Riu Santa Fe is adding on so unfortunately some rooms come with a construction view and noise throughout the day. There are 3 Riu resorts built next to each other, please do your research before booking! If you book the santa fe, that is the only resort you can eat at or use the amenities. If you book the other 2 Riu resorts, adults only or the palace, both are more expensive, you can enjoy all the amenities and restraunts at all 3 resorts!! I will say this, at the santa fe the food is good but at the palace it is 10 times better and worth paying the extra money to stay there and still be able to party at the santa fe!
All in all we had a great time and cannot wait to go back with our friends! Hopefully by then the construction will be done and we'll be able to try out the adult waterpark!
