Good hotel; bad bed/room conditionsPosted Jan 25, 2015
Pros: The staff were amazing!
Cons: The room conditions. The bed was hard and the pillows were flat. The comforter and curtains looked really worn. The room had a musty smell to it.
Location: Downtown is about 2 to 3 miles away
The staff were great; very friendly and helpful. The buffet was good. It had a wide variety of food to pick from. The pool and night atmosphere was a lot of fun. The hotel had 3 to 4 bars at night to choose from and a sports bar. The nightly shows were fun to watch.

Moldy room and bad food.Posted Jan 25, 2015
Although we liked the location of this resort and enjoyed the beach, our room was terrible. The a/c at full blast kept our room at a cool 80 degrees and it smelled so badly of mildew that everything we brought ended up stinking too. The bed was incredibly hard with minimal linens (which because of the room temp wasn't necessarily a bad thing). The food was awful so we ended up eating in town for most meals. On the plus side, the pools are nice and the bar staff is great.

Good but could use some updatesPosted Jan 23, 2015
Pros: Cost, location, pool and food.
Cons: Fitness facility and free wify
Location: Cabo 1 1/2 mile away
Food was good lodging good but overall facility could use some upgrades, limited wify and fitness facility has been the same for over five years. Still upgrades should be done.

Great for the pricePosted Jan 23, 2015
Great resort, just lower your standards a little bit. It's not a 5 star resort, but if you like to have fun, meet new people, and party a little, then this is a good resort. The food is decent, the beds are firm, and the location is awesome. So for the price, it's great. There is a party pool with swim up bar, a main pool with no swim up bar (more for families, or to relax) and another pool with a swim up bar. Building #7 is the rowdiest building, and closest to all the pools. They put most of the Canadians there ( no offence ). Haha. They have 4 different restaurants (Mexican, Italian, Asian, and the steakhouse) the steakhouses is the best, but remember to lower your standards a bit. Book the restaurants early in the morning because they fill up fast. Also bring American money, don't convert your money into pesos. Bring lots of one dollar bills. It's $85 USD to go from the airport to the sante fe or $17 USD per person to take a van that will make stops. All transportation is about $3 USD per person to go to the marina or to downtown. They never have change so bring lots of ones. Well I hope this helps, remember, have fun your vacation is what you make of it.

Dreadful experiencePosted Jan 22, 2015
Pros: not much
Cons: hygeine keep the flies off the food in the serving area use plastic swipe cards to enter rooms instead of having to carry a key everywhere you go
No internet except in hotel lobby only 90 mins free each day in one log in very, very, very slow connection. I only drink wine not spirits or beer, none provided in room, but beer and spirits lots of in room. Lots of very drunk loud people morning noon and night. Food became monotonous very quickly. flies in the food constantly. can hear everything in adjoining rooms and people coming and going all night the doors slam closed very loudly, woke me up many times during the night

The staff was so friendly and helpful.Posted Jan 22, 2015
Pros: Super friendly and helpful staff. Nice, but not stuffy or overdone.
Cons: It's all inclusive, and while the food was ok, it could definitely be improved. The Wi-Fi was also very spotty.
Location: It was a short cab ride to downtown Cabo and pretty close to a neat area called Mango Beach. Jet skiis, parasail etc. all near.
Friendly staff, nice hotel and ameneties. Not a snooty high-end place, but definitely very nice and all you really need if you want to relax on the beach, around the pool etc. The rooms were good, but the beds were a little uncomfortable. WE had an ocean view, but it was limited because of the floor we were on. Building 7 is definitely the place to stay if you choose the Riu Sante Fe.
