Great Hotel

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Cons: The beach should be swimmable
Everything was great, however, you have to walk to the beach. The hotel is on a beach but it is not a swimmable beach. The walk to the nearest swimmable beach (Medano Beach) takes about 20 minutes.

Amazing location

Location, location location! Does not get better than this. The service was also amazing and the rooms are huge. Only downfall is the food...breakfast was good but other than that we ended up eating out. Besides the food we really loved it here and would go back again.

Great Family All inclusive resort in Cabo

Posted Apr 12, 2014
Pros: The hotel room fit all five of us at a great rate which was not easy to find in others. Great food options and facilities.
Cons: The roundtrip transportation package with expedia could be executed more smoothly without us being pitted with timeshare sales people at the airport.
Location: The marina is just across the street from the resort gate. There are lots of activities offered at the marina, including boating trips.
Our stay at the resort was wonderful but the round-trip airport transfer through expedia did not work out. We enjoyed our stay at Sandos and our room fit all five of us comfortably at a great value price. The food was great at all the options which were a seafood grill and a Mexican restaurant by the pool, an Italian upscale restaurant on the top of the hill and beside it the Don Diego restaurant with the sweeping view of the city. Lots of things to do in the resort given their many activities for adults and kids. The kids enjoyed the pool, the hammock by the beach and the playground. The beach is not swimmable as it is on the pacific side. The ocean view and the friendly service was all good. We had a great time. The airport transfer that was part of the arrangement we got did not turn out well. We were asked to meet with someone with a green shirt who ended up hard selling us on going to a timeshare property outside of Sandos. When we refused and asked for our transportation, he passed us to his colleague who did the same hard sell. He said we would get our ride in one second if we agreed. We refused and he asked us to go outside and our ride will be there, but there was none. We ended up hiring a taxi and paid $90 one-way from the airport to the resort.

Stunning

Pros: Design was gorgeous. Food spectacular. Staff were the kindest I've ever come across, even remembered our names, really hospitality driven. Always safe
Cons: Day entertainment was great, night could be improved.
Location: We walked into town everyday as it was only 10 min-- very convenient!
Amazing resort, probably the most beautiful I've ever stayed in. Food exceeded my expectations every meal, even at the buffet. A little lacking in the entertainment region, has a disco but was quiet most nights, and shows only every other night which were also quiet. Wish there was a lobby bar, but the other bars made up for it... Not a party hotel, but amazing for couples, family, and especially groups.

End of march stay

Our overall experience was great. The hotel location was perfect, close to the beach and close to the marina. The views from Don Diego's was incredible and the food there was good too. The staff was incredible. One guy ran to us on the beach just to get us our bloody mary's, which was not easy. The only gripe we had would be that our rooms would smell like poop or sewage from time to time randomly, sometimes coming from the kitchen sink and sometimes from the toilets. This is not linked to our own poops mind you. And also we found a roach in the room. But overall awesome place. The spa was awesome as well.

A great place for families

Posted Mar 30, 2014
My two girl friends and I chose this resort for our spring break trip. It was our first time in Cabo and were pretty unaware of our resort options. Being College Students we were looking for a resort close to Mango Deck Beach and the Clubs. We chose Sandos because of its price and pictures from the website. Our initial impression was that we were blown away by the friendliness of the staff as well as the view from our room. We quickly realized though that we were one of a hand full of groups that were within their early twenties. Despite the amazing pool bar and great cocktails, it seemed to be lacking the SPRING BREAK fun that we were hoping for. However, that being said we were only a two-four minute cab ride away from some great clubs. Every night we had friendly cab drivers meet us promptly. We had a great experience with the restaurant Don Diego as well as the fitness center. I highly recommend this resort for families, but for college students I'd say shop around a bit more.
