Relaxing Beach Vacation

Posted Apr 22, 2015
Pros: Great location and view from most of the resort. The staff is truly exceptional, always looking to make your experience pleasant.
Cons: Perhaps dial the vacation-ownership sales pitch down a few notches...Especially right after check-in when we were just tired and wanted our room.
Location: Right by the marina...Lots of excursions from there.
I recently traveled to Sandos Finisterra with my little sister and cousin for a girls' getaway week. The goal was to totally veg out on the beach, read and eat for an uninterrupted seven days. Mission Accomplished. The resort was very nice, with truly impeccable service. Although our room was a little humid, we spent most of the time out on the gorgeous beach or camped by the pool. The never-ending supply of cocktails was delicious (and perfectly strong, by the way) and the pace was relaxed and restful (except for the loud music by the middle pool area, but we simply moved to the beach or the highest pool for more quiet). The food in the restaurants was quite good. We especially liked the Italian place. However, after six nights we were finding ourselves a little bit bored with the lack of choices (however, we had special dietary requirements and so this largely limited what we could order). The only negative was that my cousin's Samsung Galaxy phone was stolen while we were at the Stone's Club one night (we kept receiving butt-dials overhearing someone speaking in Spanish after we realized it was missing that night and for the following weekend.) We reported the phone missing, but of course no one turned it in and we never heard back about it.

Beautiful architecture and views

Pros: We loved the Cupcake Cafe on the 7th floor! The two men who worked there were awesome! Made delicious drinks and were always very friendly.
Cons: The bathrooms are very undesirable. Need updating badly! Shower is a bathtub with a curtain that touches you when you shower. Ugh! Drain clogged, too.
Location: It was very close to the marina and shopping. Lots of restaurants at marina to choose from. We didn't eat there because we were all inclusive.
Spent six days at the Finesterra with my 14 year old daughter and her friend this past week. It was a great experience for us. Food was good, entertainment at night was fun, and the pools were good. It is a smaller resort and more laid back than several others I have stayed at. No problem getting lounge chair by pool, no lines for restaurants, and plenty of space to enjoy entertainment. I loved going to the Cupcake Cafe in the morning for tea and enjoying the fabulous views of the marina and the Sea of Cortez! Then over to Don Diego for a yummy breakfast! Omeletts to order, fresh fruit, and whatever may be your breakfast choice.

Great location!

Posted Apr 19, 2015
Pros: The food was excellent and the views were breathtaking. The location was perfect for shopping and site seeing. The staff was very accommodating too.
Cons: The comfort of the bed and the water pressure in the shower.
Location: The location was walking distance to the marina and town. We went on a kayaking and snorkel tour as well as a city tour. We also visited Cabo Wabo.
Our stay at this resort was very enjoyable. The upgrade to the jr. suite was well worth the money. This included the VIP pool which had excellent views and service. The bartender Ismael was a great host and went out of his way to make all of his customers happy.

The service and food at their restaurants could be better. Other than that, we had a great time.

Best Service in Cabo~

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: Service, pools and location
Cons: I didnt appreciate the hard pitch for the time share
Location: Marina is a short short walk down hill. Great local food and bars nearby.
This hotel had the best service we have had in Cabo. Norma hooked us up at the pool everyday, beers, margs and poolside lunch for the kids. Doesn't get much better. Alan was a great waiter at Don Diegos and always served with over the top service. I highly recommend this resort. Great whale watching for the entire resort. Would stay here again~!
