great hotel

We enjoyed the Sheraton and facilities. Our room had an excellent view of the ocean. We took advantage of the restaurants, spa, fitness room and, pools. While the staff was extremely helpful, congenial and welcoming we found the reastaurant service lacking. It took 15 to 20 mins on average to be greeted at our table(s). We were never offered service on the beach and, when dining at the more expensive de Cortez restaurant felt that our waiter had never been trained. He simply wrote down our order (withlout suggestion from the menu or offering us the evening specials) walked away and never stopped back throughout the meal...the food was incredibly good, however. We've visited 3 other hotels/resorts in the past. We have never had a problem with service before. The overall feeling that we walkedd away with was that the restaurants were understaffed and the staff hadn't been trained properly.

Cons: Free wifi in rooms!
The hotel was beautiful! Everything was beyond our expectations. The rooms were large and spotless and the mattress and pillows smelled clean and were so comfortable. The views, the pool the flowers and the beach, the food were all excellent. We will return!

Updated Hotel, Friendly Staff, Great Views

Pros: Location, view, and choice of swimming pools along with organized beach activities such as beach volleyball or beach soccer
Cons: Room Conditions,Very Low water pressure in higher level room showers during peak time. On site restaurants are very expensive compared to U.S. hotel
Location: Close to down town Cabo (10 minutes drive).
We spent 6 days during Christmas holidays at this hotel. Hotel staff are very helpful, rooms are updated and generally clean. Location of this resort is great with fantastic views of the ocean. I found the on site restaurants expensive compared to the similar 4-4.5 star hotels in the U.S, probably by 15%-25%. A better option is to rent a car ( do this from U.S. and not in Mexico since prices are substantially higher in Mexico) and drive to Down town Cabo (10 minutes drive). There are two infinity pools with great views and kids pool. Great organized beach activities such as beach volley ball, beach soccer, and other sports which are all included at no extra cost during your stay.

Great Resort, just a little loud in the room

Cons: Noise
The resort was fantastic. Beautifully maintained. Tasteful. Great service. Pitahuyas restaurant was very good. Only problem was that the room I was in was very poorly sound insulated. I stayed in 2834, on the 3rd floor. The room above was extremely noisy, and I reported the problem, but it did not go away. I should have asked to change rooms but didn't feel like packing and unpacking again. Otherwise, a great experience, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Lovely setting, food is overpriced and poor

Pros: The setting is very nice
Cons: The food should be a quarter of the price. Healthier food options should be available. The shuttle to town and back should be free.
Location: The hotel setting is lovely but you can't swim as the sea has dangerous currents/riptides. The pools are decent though a little cold (no heating).
Hotel has a beautiful setting but you start to feel like you are in a prison because the food is terribly overpriced and not healthy. In addition you can't swim in the sea due to dangerous currents/riptides. There is a shuttle to town but it's a 30 min + journey and costs $10 per person round trip.

Feels like being in the US, not Mexico

Pros: The resort is nice and service is good in general
Cons: The food is not good. Dishes don't have the Mexican taste. Portions are as huge as if you were in the US. Their beach is open sea, not safe to swim.
Location: Not conveniently located for going around San Lucas or San Jose unless you have a car or want to pay for a pricey cab.
We stayed at one of the hotel's villas for three nights prior to Christmas Eve. Even if he hotel is really nice we will probably not go there any more. For us Mexicans the food turned out to be terrible as it is cooked in the US style (the hotel was full of American people): very large portions and very large prices as well. If you don't have a car and want to taste Baja food you either pay a Cab or walk 1km to the closest bus stop (bus ride to San Jose /San Lucas is $30 pesos / $2 Usd). The hotel provides a shuttle bus ($10usd) that will take you to a mall so not an option for local food either. American people (families with kids mostly) seemed to be having a good time, us being a young couple will not go through this experience again.
