Rome, Italy's capital, is situated about 200 miles (322 kilometers) to the northeast of Lotzorai, while Olbia is 65 miles (105 kilometers) to the north.
Don't limit yourself to Lotzorai, because the wider region features an abundance scenic and cultural attractions just waiting to be explored. If you have some extra time, head 3 miles (5 kilometers) where you'll find Tortoli. Here you can check out the San Gemiliano Beach and Orri Beach.
About 20 miles (32 kilometers) to the north of Lotzorai is Dorgali, an important regional center and the home of Cala Fuili Beach, Ispinigoli Caves and Cala Luna Beach. Don't rush back to Lotzorai until you've spent a little time at Dorgali's Osalla Beach and Cala Cartoe Beach.
Sardinia is home to some significant cathedrals and other places of worship, great places to get a taste of the region's spiritual heart. If the weather makes you want to head indoors, plan a trip to Sardinia's history museums, nature museums and art museums.
Joining in with one of the cycling tours, guided nature walks and wildlife spotting tours can be a good way to gain a deeper understanding of Sardinia. Don't leave here without seeing it from a completely new perspective. There are some great places to try paragliding.
As the sun sets on your trip, pack up your gear and wish Italy a fond Ciao (farewell).
