Great place!

4th year in a row I've stayed here. Clean, comfortable, quiet, great breakfast/breakfast area, courteous staff, and great cookies to boot! Why stay anywhere else?

Great hotel, rude staff.

I enjoyed everything about this hotel and my stay except for they staff and housekeeping staff...when I walked in to check in I stood there for a good ten minutes and no one at the desk. I look over in three eating area and a woman gave me a ride look held up her finger and said someone will be with you shortly. I said okay and waited. Another five minutes later she walked into the check in area. She was very rude and unfriendly. I told her I was told on the phone I would receive military discount due to the fact my fiancé was in fact military but would not be joining us until later. She said sorry I cannot give you a discount without his military ID. On the phone I was told once he arrived later that evening they would check his ID but would give us the discount upon check in. I have stayed at a CI&S before and they never even asked for the ID. She was very rude about the whole thing. I paid full price. The next day starting at 9:30am, the housekeepers WITHOUT KNOCKING just let themselves in. We were in the middle of changing our clothes. They saw us and just walked out. This happened four time within the next hour..checkout wasn't even until noon. So besides the staff I liked the hotel but wouldn't stay at this exact location again due to rudeness and no guarantee of privacy the next morning.

Ice storm refuge

A little spot of respite while traveling

We checked in the day prior to Thanksgiving for a three day stay and found our room ready on time. It was an overly large standard layout hotel room with a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The TV had a plethora of channels (many more than standard hotel service). The bathroom had shelves to put away your toiletries (nice touch) with a tub shower. The only suggestion I have for the room is new shower heads. The pressure was good, but the head itself was deficient. The hotel has an indoor pool, but even my northern niece and nephews thought it was "too cold" to get in fully. If you're going to have an indoor pool, it should be heated. The solarium surrounding the pool was great. The breakfast in the morning was more than adequate (real oatmeal, waffle maker, fresh fruit salad) and the items changed daily (not just hard boiled eggs :)) There are always chocolate chip cookies in the lobby and a fruit bowl on the counter. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and the maids were attentive. I highly recommend this hotel. It is about 10 miles south of the I40 I75 junction and 30 minutes from downtown Knoxville. Very near the Tennessee River and Ft. Loudon Dam.

Dispointment stay for 3 nights terrible condition

Pros: convenient to where we needed to be.
Cons: fix leaking facets and temperature for pool and hot tub need to be regulated accordingly.
Location: grocery store and gas... served the purpose of what we needed
TV was white and fuzzy had to change rooms then facet leaked and bath tub dripped constantly. Hot tub and pool was cold. Treadmill needs work very loud when jogging. Never stayed at a Country Inn that was so dirty.
