Great hotel - close to Galway and the Loughrea golf course. The restaurant/bar were fantastic, but rooms and hallways could use an update. (Red carpet/curtains were a bit dated and gave a creepy vibe and bathroom was poorly lit)

5 minutes from the motorway. Plenty of parking. Bar was nice. Breakfast was good. Countryside setting. Local service station next door. Lake nearby nice for walks. View was nice. We had a family room and the room was very large.

Beautiful hotel. We enjoyed walking around the lake and surrounding area. The restaurant at the hotel was very good. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Have stayed at this hotel a few times over the last 12+ months. But this time room 427 was a little disappointing and finishes in the bathroom let it down Still won't put us off staying at the Loughrea and Spa hotel again but in a different room

Great hotel - book spa treatment prior to arrival
We have stayed here many times and it's a great hotel. Decided to pay extra for late checkout but house keeping had other ideas even with the "do not disturb" sign on the door!!! If looking for a spa treatment book before you arrive

Loved everything except the cost of breakfast 20 erró full breakfast but way to much. No option for just a muffin and coffee.

It was slightly disappointing as the spa was only open until 6pm and it was not complimentary to use the spa facilities like it as at other hotels. Also there was no swimming pool.the rooftop bar was closed and it was a lovely warm day . There was not enough light in the room it was very dark in the corner where the dressing table was. The shower controls were faulty it was difficult to get the correct water temperature we were nearly scalded. The chair in front of the desk was very heavy and difficult to move . The room was clean the bed was comfortable.

It was fine. Couldn't reach staff to book a massage and they weren't flexible nor pleasant about it. It is a nice clean place but wont stay there again.

Poor Service - manager very rude and unhelpful
Very frustrating as I called beforehand asking if they would be able to provide me with a VAT receipt and it was confirmed to that I would be provided this, this was also confirmed upon checking in. when checking out though I was met by the manager who was quite frankly very unhelpful and rude, she advised me that I was told incorrect information and that nothing further can be done...very annoyed about this as I would not of booked hotel if this was the case.

Great staffbar reception and restaurant. The family bedroom is spacious. The balcony with view on the lake is amazing. We can regulate the room heat easily which makes me feel at home. I definitely recommend it and I wish to come back to try the spa

The difference in making this a good experience is the care of the team - rather than bring out "the end of the batch" food for my evening meal, the server advised same and asked would I like an alternative - which was appreciated. Too often some bars or hotels would simply serve that up and leave it off. Good service standards. Will be returning when in the area again.
