“Fascinating Art, Modernist Fantasy Hotel Rooms....”

This place was great. The artwork in the lobby was so interesting that I brought some friends over just to see it all. The staff was made up of friendly young hipsters who knew the local restaurant scene in depth and gave me great dining recommendations. The room was spotless and modern with lots of warm colors. It's in the cool trendy part of downtown and it makes Louisville feel like a destination city.

Very Unique ... We had a great experience ... accomodations were excellent as was the pampering ... we had fun with the art contest and exploring downtown Louisville ..all our meals were wonderful as well ... we can't wait to return

“An Experience to Savor”

Through my work I have stayed at many top-rated hotels in urban centers and tranquil resort settings. Few, if any, offered a more satisfying experience than 21C Museum Hotel. The attention to detail in the accomodations, and the friendly professionalism of the staff are of the highest order. And the hotel's restaurant, Proof, is superior to many heralded dining establishments in New York or San Francisco. Finally, there is the singular concept of a hotel that is seamlessly integrated with gallery space. Everyone in our party -- from children to seniors -- the artistic touches in every corner of the facility.

“Great experience”

Fantastic hotel, great artwork. Rooms are comfortable, clean and up to date. Great location as well. Only caveat is that the front desk staff, while very friendly and professional, weren't particularly knowledgable about area restaurants and such.

“Incredible hotel”

21C is a world class hotel right here in the Derby City. After an initial snafu with getting the type of room requested, which was fixed by the very friendly front desk, my wife and I enjoyed a lovely stay. I would definitely stay again. As a caveat, if you request a certain room on Expedia,like a king size bed, that doesn't mean that you get that room; however, if you book directly with the hotel they will make sure you get the proper room.

“Hip Central Hotel in Downtown Louisville”

21C is a great place to stay for anyone visiting Louisville. The best part is that the location is awesome; a block from the Slugger Factory/Museum and the River, and very close to the few major highways [without feeling like you're staying at a rest stop]. The staff was great, from the uber-friendly door-guy to the folks at the front desk. I needed to switch from a king bed to two doubles after check in and it was beyond easy to switch. The Malin+Goetz toiletries are fresh-smelling and left me feeling clean. And they replaced the ones we had used for the second night. The modern design of the place works really well with the art pieces. The pieces have been selected carefully and are distributed appropriately so that you still feel like you're staying at a hotel [albeit an unusual loft-esque one], but one with some really cool extras thrown in. The penguins are cute and an excellent icon, the lipstick red prevents it from getting too sweet or Disney. My whole family stayed here, my sister and I are both in our 20s and my parents are in their 60s and we all equally enjoyed the visit. My dad kept saying "Neat", and my sister grunted "cool" upon unlocking the room's door. Overall, a great stay, I wish my trip had been a bit longer so I had a night in their cocktail lounge - looked like a fun place to hang out. [As a bonus, the coffee/lunch shop a couple doors down had one of the nicest ladies I've ever encountered working there.]
