Quick stayPosted Nov 9, 2013
Room was a great size for a family of 5. Had 2 doubles and a sofa pull out. The only reason I gave a 4 instead of 5 rating was it would have been nice to have sheets on the pull out when our reservation said we were having 5 people, and we only had 3 towels. Breakfast was good, and staff was friendly.

Dilapidated physical plant and smelly lobbyPosted Nov 6, 2013
Pros: Room size and spaciousness, breakfast and polite staff.
Cons: This hotel would benefit from the critical eye of a manager to address routine maintenance items such as torn carpet, bent screens, weeds, etc.
Location: Check out the taco stand by the entrance road to the hotel. Family run and terrific food that they will package to go or you can eat at their table.
This hotel needs routine maintenance as well as renovation. We had a first floor room, and when I was walking outside and around the hotel, something the manager apparently does not do, I noticed that many rooms had torn and bent screens on the windows, giving the appearance that someone had tried to break into the rooms. The hallways have carpet that is bunched up and causes a trip hazard. The pillowcases on our bed looked as though someone had already slept on them. Most offensive was the smell of body odor that emanated from the lobby area as soon as you walked into the hotel. On the more positive side, the breakfast was adequate and presented the way you would expect. The room itself was okay, and the bed was comfortable enough. We chose this Comfort Suites hotel because of positive experiences other places, however, it did not live up to the franchise name. Travelers should be aware that there are no restaurants around the hotel's intersection with the interstate, but that if you continue north a couple of miles there are services available. Since we didn't realize that and our GPS led us astray, we were fortunate to find a wonderful taco stand right by the entrance road to the hotel that saved us from starvation. It was awesome and for less than 15 dollars we had a terrific dinner.

Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Hall carpet on the 2nd floor needs smoothed out.

The hotel was very nice all around! It was a little hard to locate from the directions.

Surrounding area needs workPosted Aug 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
The surrounding area is not the fault of the hotel (Needs a Facelift). For a 1 or 2 night stay the hotel is a good stay. A good location for events in Louisville, KY; shopping and right off the highway (I65).

Wonderful facilityPosted Aug 5, 2013
Pros: The room was very comfy it was great.
Location: Awesome location, just across river from downtown Louisville. We were never more than 30 minutes from any of the attractions in Louisville.
Great location, the bed was very comfy and really liked having the half wall and couch in the room

Convinient to area.Posted Jul 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
15 to 20 minutes to all areas of Louisville, KY sites of interests. Reasonable rates. Continental breakfast is good. The rooms are good. The hotel is in need of a maintenance overhaul, fixtures, railings, plumbing fixtures and door security fixtures need tightening or replacing. Little things. The area is a little run down and also could use a face lift (Not the Hotels fault). Other wise it is a good place to stay for a 1 or 2 night stay.

Close to Louisville, KYPosted Jul 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
The surrounding area, around and near hotel, needs a face lift. The beds are not as comfortable as they could be. Right off I-65, no more then 20 min from all areas of interest. Good and reasonable for the Kentucky State Fair, Kentucky Derby, Louisville University and Thunder over Louisville. Also, good shopping in area.

Okay, but nothing specialPosted May 21, 2013
It was okay, nothing special. Room 309 could use some more work with the door frame. It appeared that the door may have been broken down at some point. The frame was reworked and secure, but still looked like it could use more work. As always in most hotels, I wish they would offer a magnifying mirror in the bathroom. Decent sized fridge and microwave. Very little variety in the fruit offered at breakfast, just apples. Whole wheat bread would have been a nice addition. Very close to the Yum! center.
