Fantastatic staff!! Excellent stay!!!

Posted Jul 2, 2015
Pros: Very clean, super quiet. The best staff we have encounter. We were ending a 2 week vacation, this was heads and tails above every other hotel we used.
Cons: Nothing!
Location: Louisville river bats games, slugger museum!
3 people in our party became sick from a food borne illnesses. The over night desk staff (mike) was very accomdating, even offering another room. Gabbie from housekeeping went out of her way to take soiled linens and trash from our room first thing in the morning, bringing more than enough clean towels. Kim from the front desk staff went above and beyond. This was our first stay at a Fairfield Inn, we knew when we checked in it was a nice hotel, but the staff went out of their way to make a tough situation so much more tolerable. Thank you so much.

Pros: Nice pool for kids. Breakfast pretty good
Location: Close to hospitals
A little pricey but for downtown Louisville I guess that's how it goes.

Cons: The breakfast is disappointing.
We have stayed at the Fairfield on four separate occasions, and the hotel has never let us down. The staff is pleasant and helpful. The rooms are generously sized and clean.

Prefect for thunder over Louisville

Posted Apr 25, 2015
Room was actually fine. ..until we opened the refrigerator. There was good left from the people before. ..we found a plate of spilled fruit. .. when we told them at checkout, they really didn't care. They offered us nothing in the way of compensation, or a free night. .. the truth is I want after anything free, but the troubling pay was they didn't offer, they just charged my card fire the full amount n and said have a good day. ..

Thunder over Louisville weekend

Posted Apr 23, 2015
Good location. Room was clean. Good breakfast included. Glad to see extra measures in place during Thunder to help keep non-registered guests to a minimum. We did have some noisy guests in the hallway during the night but other than that we were pleased with our stay.

Sufficient to meet needs

Posted Mar 22, 2015
Pros: Clean, comfortable room
Cons: PARKING! Check-in process! Ensure rooms are clean and available when it is time for check-in! More efficient check in process!
Location: Walk to downtown, including the KFC Yum Center. There are multiple shopping opportunities, and restaurants, but very long lines and waits.
The hotel was within walking distance to the KFC Yum Center, which is a plus. The hotel is located on a very small lot, which resulted in issues at check-in time; no available spaces for individuals to park while checking in; parking was terrible. Although the hotel has a parking garage, we were informed that it was "full", and had to park down the block, and across the street. While the parking area was beside a fire station, and indicates it has 24 hour surveillance, it was not well lit, and a little inconvenient. It makes one wonder if the hotel was making money from selling parking spaces for concert attendees, rather than allowing registered guests to park. It would seem there would be an available space for at least one car for each registered guest. At any rate, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was basic, as in most hotels. Check in was an ordeal, and, in our case, we had to wait for our room to become available. The price, for this accommodation was quite high, in my opinion, and I still had to pay a parking fee, even though I had to park in a lot that was not even adjacent to this property.

Thanks for your comments, I appreciate the feedback. I can assure you that we do not sell parking to concert goers and that our hotel guests are our first priority! Parking in any city is always a "bear", but your sentiments are certainly recognized. Once again, I truly appreciate your comments! John

My Experience at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Louisv

Posted Mar 16, 2015 on Hotels
I was traveling for 18hrs and had to wait in the lobby till it was 3pm to get checked in. The lady at the front desk was very rude. She asked me first for my ID and credit card which I presented to her when we arrived and she handed them back to me and asked me to sit and wait. I was pacing back and fourth to stay awake and observed other guest who were checked in right away as they arrived. I then walked up to her and asked if our room was ready. Again she turned around and asked again for my ID and a credit card.

Nice Central Downtown Hotel

Posted Mar 14, 2015 on Hotels
We were in town for a tradeshow at the convention center. Was nice to be walking distance from everything downtown. The staff was great, rooms are big and clean. One evening, our bed was made but the coffee service was not and no toiletries were left, but a simple call downstairs and they delivered what was missing. Nice breakfast, decent wifi. Overall if I was ever in Louisville again, I would stay here. All of the sights in downtown can be easily walked to, and tons of close by good food.
