Great hotel, great staff, well managed

Pros: Definitely the staff. They strive very hard to make your stay enjoyable. From the hotel receptionist to the maids.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect.
Location: Great location. Close downtown, restaurants, etc.
From check in to departure we were given 5 star treatment from the staff. At check-in, the receptionist recognized my status with Holiday Inn and provided us a great room. Our reservations were for 2 doubles, however he changed to a king bed. After arriving at our room, I came downstairs and asked if I could borrow a wine cork puller for some wine we bought in town. He loaned us the one from the bar, then after a few minutes back in our room, we were given a refrigerator and microwave! The hotel has a nice small bar and a small yet efficient breakfast area, not the limited breakfast of boxes of cereal and juices, but a choice of complete breakfast items. Very old school set up for the hotel but very comfortable stay. We enjoyed the quiet, safe area and it was only a few minutes away from the airport and downtown. Please try this place!

Overall the accomodations were nice. wish that the pet friendly rooms were on the first flood, inconvenient at night. Also, wish rooms had refrig. in them. Very clean and the staff was excellent.

Good and quiet

Pros: Location, pool was nice
Cons: free continental breakfast, add microwave and fridge to rooms.
Location: Convenient right by the exit, we enjoyed a Golden Corral down the street, took the kids to Bat and Put down the road, not to far from downtown.
We go to Louisville every year for Alumni Reunion, this was the quietest hotel we have slept in. We paid 300 for 2 nights, was kinda disappointed that the room didn't have a microwave or fridge. I've stayed a lot of cheap hotels that at least furnished those, and a free breakfast, you had to pay for breakfast here. Could use an update, but was comfortable, good location, right off of the Watterson.

Oveall, it was OK. Staff was very friendly. Bathtub needs to be resurfaced. Also we did not get face cloths after room was cleaned.

The staff was super. They were so nice! The room was great. The only thing was the elevators were a little iffy. They didn't always run smoothly. But the bed were very comfortable, and there were 4 pillows on each bed. Love that!

At first they gave us someone else's room and they moved us to another room. I paid for breakfast with my room and I had to remember that it was paid for. They also did not give us the room that was advertised. They best thing about the hotel was the breakfast. The breakfast staff catered to everything we needed. The breakfast was fresh and warm a several hours after the start up time

Cons: the rooms over all cleanliness.
The chair and couch in my room were badly stained. The bath tub had stains. there was a substance / stain on the the edge of the tub that I had to remove. If the tub had been cleaned properly that would have been removed. The linen was in good condition. the rating for this motel should be a C.
