Nice hotel downtown - good for a group stay.

Posted May 5, 2015
Location: Short walk 3-5 blocks from most of the popular downtown destinations like 4th Street Live and the riverfront.
We stayed to participate in the KDF marathon. The room suite was nice and breakfast was good. The only challenge is that they were doing some cosmetic maintenance on one of the two elevators which meant long wait times and crowded elevators (hotel was full). Overall though, a great value, we would stay there again.

WOW! Love the feedback - sorry about the elevators, there is never a good time to upgrade or renovate anything in a hotel. I appreciate you bringing it to our attention though.

Very nice during busy weekend

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: Great and helpful staff
Cons: Just a little updating of the rooms; very comfortable but could use a little updating.
Location: Louisville - there for a convention, many restaurants and located near highway so we could get to a mall very easily.
I was there for a conference and the hotel was in a wonderful location. It was very clean, staff was helpful.

Walking around Louisville

Posted Mar 25, 2015
We stayed Sunday to Tuesday. SpringHill Suites is close to 65, so it was easy to drive to nearby distilleries. It is a short walk to downtown Louisville. The room and hotel were very clean. The room has a pleasing decor and layout. The bathroom is split into two rooms--shower and toilet. The desk workspace has a frosted window that blocks light from the desk lamp from the rest of the room. Breakfast selections provided a solid, healthy start to the day. Overall, it was an enjoyable and fun few days in Louisville.

clean room. nice facility. the only thing i was bothered by this trip was that we previously informed them of a late arrival and were told we were going to get the room i reserved ( a 6 person suite), but was given a 4 person handicapped room and had to switch rooms the next day.

Very roomy and feels new

Posted Mar 12, 2015
Pros: Size of the room, cleanliness. Staff was super nice.
Cons: Some breakfast items in the little "market" downstairs. Would have been great to grab a bagel or parfait on my way out to the office.
Location: AMAZING RIBS at Doc Crows, about 2-3 blocks away. A little pricey, but probably the best dry-rub ribs I've ever had.
I don't know how old the building is, but the rooms feel very new and modern. The room was relatively inexpensive on Expedia compared to the "usual" place my company books (The Downtown Marriott). For whatever reason, the Springhill Suites were half the price! I wouldn't expect it to always be half the price of the Marriott, but it was a WAY bigger room with more amenities, so I will most likely stay here any time the price is at or lower than the Marriott.

Excellent facility and staff. Only slight issue was availability of ice; which required my husband to follow a helpful housekeeper to another hotel(of sorts?). Very pleased with the suite and convenience to the hospital where my husband was having surgery early the next morning. Our stay made a stressful period much improved.

Thanks for your comments! We do have ice machines centrally located between our two hotels on the 4-5-6 floors. I know it's confusing, and I am sorry about that! Thanks for your feedback John

We have stayed here before and love the people and the hotel. Only disappointment we had this trip was the gave us the wrong room since someone before us over stayed.

Great location

Posted Feb 16, 2015
Front desk clerk was too busy to assist me at check-in. She was unable to take the time to tell me about features at the hotel and nearby even though I was requesting information. Hotel seems new or recently updated. One thing we didn't like was in the bathroom. The doors were frosted glass so at night when people were sleeping if someone were to use the bathroom the light from the bathroom would wake up the whole room.

Thanks for letting me know your thoughts! I suppose you must have hit the front desk at a very busy time period, I apologize that we were unable to answer all of your questions, typically it is a balancing act and we are usually very good at it. I appreciate your comment about the bathrooms too. I am going to look into getting night lights - I assume that would definitely help. Thanks for letting me know your thoughts! John
