Walking around Louisville

Posted Mar 25, 2015
We stayed Sunday to Tuesday. SpringHill Suites is close to 65, so it was easy to drive to nearby distilleries. It is a short walk to downtown Louisville. The room and hotel were very clean. The room has a pleasing decor and layout. The bathroom is split into two rooms--shower and toilet. The desk workspace has a frosted window that blocks light from the desk lamp from the rest of the room. Breakfast selections provided a solid, healthy start to the day. Overall, it was an enjoyable and fun few days in Louisville.

clean room. nice facility. the only thing i was bothered by this trip was that we previously informed them of a late arrival and were told we were going to get the room i reserved ( a 6 person suite), but was given a 4 person handicapped room and had to switch rooms the next day.

Very roomy and feels new

Posted Mar 12, 2015
Pros: Size of the room, cleanliness. Staff was super nice.
Cons: Some breakfast items in the little "market" downstairs. Would have been great to grab a bagel or parfait on my way out to the office.
Location: AMAZING RIBS at Doc Crows, about 2-3 blocks away. A little pricey, but probably the best dry-rub ribs I've ever had.
I don't know how old the building is, but the rooms feel very new and modern. The room was relatively inexpensive on Expedia compared to the "usual" place my company books (The Downtown Marriott). For whatever reason, the Springhill Suites were half the price! I wouldn't expect it to always be half the price of the Marriott, but it was a WAY bigger room with more amenities, so I will most likely stay here any time the price is at or lower than the Marriott.

Excellent facility and staff. Only slight issue was availability of ice; which required my husband to follow a helpful housekeeper to another hotel(of sorts?). Very pleased with the suite and convenience to the hospital where my husband was having surgery early the next morning. Our stay made a stressful period much improved.

Thanks for your comments! We do have ice machines centrally located between our two hotels on the 4-5-6 floors. I know it's confusing, and I am sorry about that! Thanks for your feedback John

Great staff. Clean rooms. Very nice breakfast area. Convenient location. Family and traveler friendly. This is my second stay at this hotel in the last year and I would stay again.

Great location

Posted Feb 16, 2015
Front desk clerk was too busy to assist me at check-in. She was unable to take the time to tell me about features at the hotel and nearby even though I was requesting information. Hotel seems new or recently updated. One thing we didn't like was in the bathroom. The doors were frosted glass so at night when people were sleeping if someone were to use the bathroom the light from the bathroom would wake up the whole room.

Thanks for letting me know your thoughts! I suppose you must have hit the front desk at a very busy time period, I apologize that we were unable to answer all of your questions, typically it is a balancing act and we are usually very good at it. I appreciate your comment about the bathrooms too. I am going to look into getting night lights - I assume that would definitely help. Thanks for letting me know your thoughts! John

stay

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: staff was polite
Cons: monitoring the stay of all the kids in the hall and pushing of the elevator buttons.
Location: Location was nice.
It was so packed with children that elevator buttons were pushed and it took forever to get an elevator from the 9th floor. It was loud in the hall ways. Breakfast was terrible and cold. Beds were hard as very firm. Rooms were clean and staff was nice.

Lisa: Thanks for letting us know about your stay. I apologize for the trouble you encountered, we did have chaperones and a good management team working to stay on top of all of those kids the weekend you were here. This isnt the norm for our hotel and I apologize. I hope that you will give us another opportunity to serve you in the future and let you experience what we are typically like! Thanks again for letting us know

Nice hotel but difficult to reach due to road co

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: Everything
Cons: Better identity would be better in locating the Hotel especially with all the road construciton in the area.
Location: There appeared to be plenty of things to do or see, however, I was there for business.
Had a great room, staff was great and the free breakfast was fantastic.

Thanks Jim! Road construction is never good, and we did have , it certianly is frustrating for everyone. You will be glad to know the roads are open and we are easily accessible once again! John
