Nice, relaxing worship and prayer for three daysPosted Aug 22, 2012
Pros: Receptionist at front desk was very helpful in accomodating me to be at same floor of my friends who had arrived at the hotel a day earlier than me.
Location: Location was convenient.
Had a nice room with a veranda, but room service did not leave me any shampoo to use the second day of my three day stay. HAd to go to front desk to ask for shampoo. Also internet wifi was not working for the two days of my three day stay. Waiting for the technician who they said was on holiday. Generally it was okay and had a comfortable stay.

Best in Lourdes.Posted Aug 9, 2012
Pros: Public spaces, food and staff.
Cons: Cramped rooms
Location: Convenient for the Grotto.
Belle epoque public rooms. Excellent a la carte restaurant. Rooms rather cramped. Friendly helpful staff. Terrace overlooks the Domaine and there are attractive gardens. Good internet. Have stayed three times.

very nice hotel in the middle of a busy street but sooo close to the famous attraction in town that it's worth it. Small room with a large bathroom, wifi worked in the room, a lift. The ambience of the hotel was great and the bar lounge area very comfortable for a drink after a busy day. Our only problem came with the restaurant booking and the delay in service which made us late for the evening parade. Most restaurants close early in Lourdes unlike the rest of France so be aware. the food at the restaurant however was delicious and I'd recommend a meal there. The private curtained rooms off the side of the main dining area are very nice. The car park can be hard to find due to the direction of the one way streets changing every 2 weeks!! However if you unload in front of the hotel- the receptionist will come with you to show you the way- you can't ask for better service than that.

A Great Hotel with a Convenient LocationPosted Aug 1, 2012
Cons: Not Applicable
Location: As mentioned - convenient. Close to the Cathedral and close to nearby restaurants.
The Front Desk staff were very pleasant and very accomodating. The adjunct bar and tea room was convenient and the staff very friendly and helpful. This was our second time to stay at this establishment and if we are lucky enough to return to Lourdes in the future, we would be happy to stay at this hotel.

Sad stayerPosted Jul 21, 2012
Cons: Check in
Location: Centrally located in the religious equivalent of Phuket, Thailand.
Small, cramped, disappointing. Considerably more expensive than I thought it was worth.

Disappointed ClientsPosted Jun 4, 2012
Pros: the location since it was located in close proximity to the pilgrim site.
Cons: tiny room, no room amenities, basic provisions like soap, face towel and box of tissue paper were not readily available.
Location: excellent location in close proximity to the religious pilgrim site.
We booked and paid for our hotel accommodation 4 months ago. We had requested for a room on the 5th floor. We were given a sub-standard room instead upon our arrival because they were fully booked with groups. I reminded them that the booking was confirmed 4 months ago. The response was there are absolutely no other room available. After a few minutes, we were offered a tiny room in the back area of the 5th flool. The room was too small for triple accommodation. There were no room amenities and we had to call down to request for soap, tissue paper and face towels. Overall, the hotel was a disappointment!

Great hotel in Lourdes.Posted May 5, 2012
Pros: Proximity to the grotto - very convenient, one block away.
Cons: Room could have been a bit larger (but this is typical of most European hotels so it isn't a big drawback. The large bathroom made uo for it).
Location: Extremely pleased with the location to the grotto, restaraunts, etc.).
Typical of many European hotels, the Grand Hotel Gallia & londres room was on the small size. However, we expected that and it was more than acceptable. The bathroom was very large, spacious and clean. We had a balcony that was small but large enough to fit two chairs. Our room faced the park area so it was very quiet and we had a pleasing view. The staff was excellent (everyone we encountered spoke at least a little English). The lobby was spacious and exuded an old world charm. Easy check in and check out. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but the bar was nice (spacious with great furniture) and not too expensive (there were very few people in the bar so it was very quiet). The hotel is very convenient to the Grotto (just a short block down the street) and on the main drag. You couldn't get a beter location. I can't vouch for a room overlooking the main street (there is a lot of activity going on 18+ hours a day so I suppose a room facing the street could be a bit noisy - also no balcony). I would definitely stay here again. The rooms were clean, the price (for us) was right and it was closer to all the activites than we imagined).
