“Disappointment”
It looks like a nice (but a little quaint) hotel. The interior is nicely decorated, but we had the smallest room I have ever been in. It was not much larger than the queen size bed it contained. (The bed was comfortable.) There was room for one small upright chair, a minute corner structure that held the teapot and cups (and small television above), and one closet that was less than a foot deep. The quality of the woodwork, which clearly had been adapted to the room, was outstanding, but in order to get both of our small cases into the room, we had to stand one on top of the other on the chair - there was no other space. After we checked in (late afternoon) we inquired about a dinner reservation and were told that everything was booked. I think they might have notified us by email if we needed t plan ahead. We finally ate in another small room - the food was good but somewhat overpriced for the area. We had better deals in hotels and meals in the center of Dublin.

We were treated very well and found the room both clean and relaxing and the staff most responsive to our needs. We would welcome the occasion of another stay at the Scholars Townhouse.
