“Thanksgiving Night Renewal”

We have friends in Loves Park who have us each Thanksgiving and we stay overnight to go shopping on Black Friday. What a welcome surprise the Quality Inn and Suite in Loves Park was. We had our 2 grown children with us and they gave us a Queen and King bed. Lots of pillows. Large room. And a nice free breakfast with freshly "make your own" waffles. The kids were out shopping at 4:00 a.m., so ma and me enjoyed a quiet breakfast. The kids found many bargains so we joined them and found our own. The shoppers are so friendly and everyone is smiling and in a good mood. We look forward to returning next year.

Three day stay 0-10 was an 8. Noted several operation security cameras on premises which are a plus.

“Hate Smoking Rooms”

Because of a soccer tournament weekend, the only room we could get was a Smoking Room and it was awful. We were there for 2 nights and all of our stuff stunk. Thank goodness the window opened to help air out the place and I bought some air deodorizer which helped some. They should air out those rooms somehow. I can't wait until a bill is passed that bans smoking in hotel rooms. Never again will I stay in a Smoking room. The only other issue was the bed was uncomfortable and the sheets were loud when you moved around.

Our one problem was a smoking issue. We requested a non-smoking room, and we were indeed on a non-smoking floor. The problem was that the corridors reeked with cigarette smoke which came into our room. Signs were up everywhere forbidding smoking, but to no avail. Yuch.
