Great value, friendly staff, clean room

Posted Jul 22, 2015
Cons: I don't think there was an elevator to the 2nd floor.
The staff was very cheerful, friendly and helpful, even at midnight and 6:00 am. Complimentary toiletry items were readily available and quickly provided. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was good. We found an online last-minute discount and then were pleasantly surprised to find it included breakfast!

No elevator

Posted Jul 20, 2015
Given a 2nd story room. No elevator in the hotel, had to lug bags up stairs. No offer of assistance from staff until I complained. Cancelled my return stay and will book elsewhere.

Very Disappointing

Posted Jul 16, 2015
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Set up the air conditioners to where the fan can run continuously. Have rooms cooled prior to arrival. Unclog the tub drains.
Location: Nothing special.
Check-in was pleasant and quick. We were on the second floor and there was no elevator, making it a hassle to move luggage up and down the stairs. When we arrived the room was very hot (mid summer) and had a bad organic odor. After the air conditioner was turned on and had run for a few hours, the odor dissipated. However, once the temperature finally cooled down to where we could sleep, the fan cycled on and off with the air conditioner and the room would quickly heat up between cycles, making it very difficult to sleep. However, the room was quiet. The tub drain flowed very slowly and the tub would collect a sizable amount of water during the shower. The next person to shower would have to wait 30+ minutes unless they wanted to wade in the previous person's dirty water. There was a hot breakfast that was as good or better than comparably priced hotels.

Nice hotel in good area

Posted Jun 21, 2015
The hotel was nice and the room was very clean. Overall it was a good place to stay, but there was not enough parking space. We had to park in a nearby restaurant parking lot and walk quite a distance to the hotel. The breakfast was also just okay. Other than that, it was a good hotel for the price.

DISAPPOINTED

Posted Jun 16, 2015
Pros: Mothing
Cons: Staff, service and AC
Location: Good Location
I would not recomend staying at this hotel. The suite area is very noisy. Everytime the toilet flushes from other rooms it was very loud. The AC system did not work consistantly and the hotel staff were very inexperienced. If you are thinking of staying please think again. I stayed based on recomendations and I will disappointed.

Good location

Posted Jun 16, 2015
My room was on the second floor but there was no elevator access. Ice machine was on the first floor on the opposite end from my room. Small freezer compartment in refrigerator was completely frozen and unusuable. Not enough parking...my first night there, I had to park in the Applebee's parking lot. Breakfast was free but was substandard. Although the staff was friendly they were more interested in talking to each other than giving their undivided attention to hotel guests.

Adequate but not as good as five years ago

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: It's close to the loop. There are many restaurants in walking distance. Walmart is next door. Lots of close shopping.
Cons: Fix the potholes. Clean those card readers! Scale back breakfast choices or hire more help so that you can keep up with what is available better.
Location: Great location! Lots of restaurants and shopping! Close enough to Texas Tech and Lubbock Christian. Lubbock has a great freeway system.
When our daughter was attending university this was our favorite hotel to stay when we visited her. It was clean, well-kept, with great amenities (e.g.great breakfast). Five years later, and we were disappointed in a few things. Our room was clean and in good condition. However, we felt five years later, and we were disappointed in a few things. Our room was clean and in good condition. However, we felt like the like something had changed dramatically with some staff positions. The desk clerk spoke quickly, and though we appreciated getting checked in quickly, he sort of left the impression that he needed to rush back to whatever he was doing and wanted to be rid of us. The maids are very friendly and nice. The kitchen crew, for breakfast on Saturday morning, didn't keep up with the rush. The kitchen crew, for breakfast on Saturday morning, didn't keep up with the rush. The choices were very minimal, the food was not tasty or hot, 30 minutes prior to the posted end time. (In years past, they had a very nice breakfast which was better than going to a restaurant.) Large and deep pot holes were a problem in the parking lot. The biggest concern, however, was that key cards did not work in the outside door locks. The desk clerk told us we could park at certain doors to be closest to our room, but that is not helpful when you have to walk all the way around the hotel to come back in through the main entrance. Staff is aware the locks need cleaning.
