Disappointment!!

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: The Breakfast was excellent!!
Cons: Freshen up rooms, maybe clean the vents so Air smells better. Police the Loud Neighbors!!
Location: Great Location for Texas Tech parents, food, easy access to most everything
Electricity went out 3 times in one night; Very LOUD, LOUD neighbors, yelling and slamming doors. Room had a musty odor; The Alarm Clock went off twice in the middle of the night even though we did not set it!! We were looking for a quite, comfortable home away from home and this was not it!!!

Pros: The front desk was very welcoming when we checked in. The manager's reception was nice and relaxing.
Cons: A bit more empathy or concern for circumstances and customer satisfaction.
The hotel itself is very comfortable and pleasant. The AC did not work in our room. We were told there was a power surge that caused that. The hotel was very cool, but our room was not. Otherwise the accomodations were pleasant. The breakfast was disappointing. There was a large crowd, as many families, such as ourselves, were there for move-in day at Texas Tech. We, as many were apparently misinformed of the time for breakfast. It was over at 9:00 a.m. It is understandable that they would shut their grill down, however despite the fact many families, and their children were trying to get coffee, milk, cereals, toasted breads, fruit, or anything else that was already out, they continued to pick everything up very quickly.

Nice hotel, not a good nights sleep

Posted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: Courtyard
Cons: Don't rent out bad rooms, nice hotel with good amenities.
Location: Good location, mall very close and lots of places to eat near by.
Was give a room next to the kitchen, was kept up all night with banging dishes, glasses and staff talking. I was tried of traveling 8 hours and just wanted to rest, which did not happen, was very disappointed. When I mentioned this to the front desk at check out she told me that yes that was a bad room, can't believe that if you know this you still rent that room out, poor judgement.

Perfect Weekend Retreat

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Breakfast!
My husband, 15 month old, and I recently stayed here for a weekend trip to Lubbock. The staff is so attentive and very friendly, the rooms are large and very comfortable, and the breakfast is fabulous! We swam in the pool, enjoyed happy hour, and had a perfect stay. We will definitely be returning.

The children enjoyed the Koi pond near the entrance. The layout of the hotel was kind of unique. I wish I'd had a chance to take advantage of the courtyard. The breakfast was fabulous; even better than the previous Embassy Suites we'd stayed in. The evening reception had a varied offering of snacks that was also yummy. Even my teenagers noticed how nice it was to be spoken to by the staff. I appreciated that as a mom. The pool was a little small, but nice. The rooms were current and very clean. We really enjoyed our stay.
