This hotel is disgusting and the general manager will not only not help but is as hateful to guests as he is to the employees. Additionally according to Lubbock PD and some of the employees, breakins occur nightly at this hotel complex, so be prepared for your vehicle to be broken into.
We have stayed at a few Hampton Inns over the years and have always found them nice. This was one is horrid. The toilet was unclean with toilet paper in the floor next to it. The carpet was stained and disgusting and unvaccumed. The glass surfaces were smeared and dirty. The tile areas had been neither swept nor mopped. The bathtub was disgusting and the paint was peeling away from the ceiling and door in the bathroom. And then we found dirty women’s underwear hanging from the shower rod between the shower curtain folds. The front desk moved us to a different room and assured us management would call us first thing in the morning about the room issues. The first room they were going to move us to reeked of raw sewage. The next room they moved us to was cleaner, but still on par with a low-rent motel. The following day management never called us and when we went to leave we would find our vehicle had been broken into during the night.
The manager was rude, condescinding, and clearly inconvenienced by guests and employees. (We watched multiple customers complain to him about various issues while we waited for our police report as well as watched him bark at employees.)
