“Lubbock Stay”

My stay was for a wedding which coincidentally was the same weekend as back to school for Texas Tech. The hotel staff went out of their way to make sure my needs were met, including Riley who went out of his to find me a set of jumper cables when my battery was dead Sunday morning.

“Overall Review of Towers Holiday Inn, Lubbock,TX”

We were greeted in a friendly and professional manner. Expedient check in an helpful personell made all a very wonderful experience. We attended a seminar right down stairs. The schedule of the seminar would have made check out at noon difficult, personell approved of a slightly later check out which eased out situation. A very positive experience.

“good but expensive”

A good hotel. Nice room and beds. However, too expensive. $200 per night for a hotel room is ridiculous.

“Not new but good, clean and friendly.”

The room was great. I've received a suite on the 4th floor. It was clean and specious. Internet was fast, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good too. The hotel isn't new but with light renovation of some public areas the hotel could have been rated much higher. In short, good, clean, not expensive and recommended.

“Nice Stay”

We stayed while attending our nieces wedding. My in-laws room, as well as our room, had hot & cold water issues with the shower. It took too long to get hot water, then it would go back to cold, then hot again. Just don't linger in the shower and be prepared for those cold bursts.

“Decent hotel bad price”

Nice hotel, just way more expensive than I feel it should have been for what we were getting. Not bad overall though.

“Decent option for downtown Lubbock”

Probably one of the nicer options for downtown Lubbock, although if you are looking to be close to restaurants or pubs within walking distance, find something in the Depot District. The hotel restaurant is decent, but the area is a ghost town at night so anything else is driving distance. The staff was friendly and the rooms are 'ok'. The beds and bedding are nice, but the hotel generally a bit tattered. Especially the bathroom. The water temperature in the shower fluctuates wildly, which I noticed in another review. Overall, probably one the best of the three hotels in the immediate vicinity.

“If you have to stop overnight in Lubbock - you could do worse”

Staff is friendly but the food in the restaurant is awful. The worst powdered eggs I've ever had are the star attraction of the breakfast buffet. And the steak (thought I was safe ordering beef in cattle country) was tough and fatty at dinner. West Texas seems to pride itself on bad food (I'm a native Texan so don't accuse me of bias). If you need to stay near Texas Tech or near Hwy. 84, this is definitely an option but next time we'll try the Ramada and see if the quality is any better. Also, previous occupant's partially used shampoo bottle was still in the bathroom.
