Filthy Rooms

Posted Mar 17, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Doze the place over
Rooms were filthy and smelled like urine. The bed linens were so filthy that we slept on top of the bedspread with our clothing and shoes on. Mold was seen in the bathroom...Carpets filthy...AC did not work. In all my years, this has to be the worst place I have ever stayed...and to pay 90.00 a night!!! :-(

Pros: The woman at the front desk was friendly and helpful.
Cons: The building is old, the linen and curtains had holes, the place is filled with people who stay up until 3 am blasting their TVs.
Location: The inn is located in the worst part of Lubbock. Yes, it is close to Tech but not worth it.
The walls are paper thin and the rooms are permanently dirty. The photos on the web site make it look cute but it's SKETCHY.

Terrible Conditions

Posted Nov 6, 2013
Pros: Nothing, the quality of the Inn was poor. It smelled and everything was in need of cleaning or replacement.
Cons: The bedding had burn holes and stains. This included the sheets, blankets, and bedspresds. The carpet had dirt, stains, pulls, and holes.
Location: Near the Texas Tech Campus
The hotel was in terrible condition. The carpet was stained, torn and nails evident by the bathroom entry. The smell of previous smokers was strong and offensive. The bedspreads had many burn holes. The bathroom area was not clean. The cord on the phone was broken, there was no iron. Sheets looked used and worn. The lamp shades were dirty and falling off the lamps, the electrical plugs were loose and the appliances were not able to remain in socket. The overall condition of the rooms and the facility were dirty and not clean. We tried to secure other accommodations when we arrived at the Koko Inn. It was a miserable experience and i would not suggest anyone stay at this location!

Human Hair in the bed

Posted Nov 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
I've traveled the road and stayed in bad hotels. This was the WORST. The bed frame was cracked in the middle so the bed tilted back when I laid in it. Also the bed was covered in dark hairs clearly showing that the sheets hadn't been changed. I called downstairs and they told me it was probably the maids hair that shed while changing the sheets. I asked them to bring up new sheets and I just put them over the old ones. Also the blanket had something dried and crusty on the inside in two splotches and I can assume what that was. Also the blanket had a burn hole in it... this blanket had seen its last day 4 years ago. Needless to say I felt like I needed to shower once leaving the hotel it was so dirty.

Rundown Hotel

Posted Nov 3, 2013
Pros: The cafe in the hotel was fairly acceptable
Cons: Cleanliness is the first thing that comes to mind
Location: Location was O.K. - not too seedy.
Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. When we arrived a cop was circling the parking lot - not a good sign. The padded arm chair in our room had prominent stains and was missing a leg. One of the pillows had a visibly dirty pillowcase. When you flushed the toilet, water from the tank flowed down onto the floor. The shower water was lukewarm at best. There were holes in the drywall. The walls were quite thin and you could hear everything in the rooms next to you. I could go on.....

Not where you want to stay

Posted Sep 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
The motel is on the edge of a bad part of town. The rooms were not well cleaned, we were afraid to sleep under the bedspread. This was not the "clean, basic hotel" that hotel.com told me about on the phone. Very disappointed.

Not what I expected, does not necessarily updates, as much as it needs a good restoration, could be really nice almost "Disney" style property

The Carpet in the hotel was lumpy like it was missing pieces of insulation. The pool had lots of stains like it wasn't well kept. The Sheets had cigarette burns. No way this hotel should cost more then $90 dollars a night.
