CHARGED TWICE

Posted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: Being on the 14th floor had beautiful view at night.
Cons: Management could be more helpful.
Was charged twice and had to talk to several people about getting refunded. Staff was not at all helpful and did not return phone calls. Hotel is nice but over priced, rooms are nothing special.

Great hotel!

Posted Jul 14, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness
Cons: Nothing
Location: Near Texas Tech University
This is a great hotel with close location to the campus and other family activities! Room was spotless (especially the bathroom)!! The A/C didn't work too well in our room...... We still will stay there again!!

Everything was nice, hotel lobby and conference center was very luxurious. Room had all adminities you could need. Bed was too soft for me is only negative. But if you like a soft bed you will love it!

Tiny uncomfortable pillows, Hot down comforter

Posted Jul 8, 2015
Pros: Location Big room
Cons: Pillows Coffee Lightweight blanket in summer
Location: University
Didn't sleep good. Tiny chiclet pillows and a down comforter in summer. Had to go out and buy a decent pillow for remainder of stay. Also the in room Krupa coffee was so bad I couldn't drink it Location is good but bring your own pillow

Weekend stay

Posted Jul 5, 2015
I was there for the weekend. The Overton is on the high end of the spectrum of hotels for Lubbock. This is my second time to stay there, the hotel staff is very accomadating! The chef prepared me a special meal the night before my race. It was completely off the menu, because I had to eat a combination of carbs and protein. That was such a nice effort on the chef's part!! She really went out of her way to ask me, what was my preference for my meal!

Great Hotel near Texas Tech Campus....

Posted Jul 2, 2015
Pros: Location, location, location
Cons: Parking was a bit tight but sufficient
Location: Texas Tech Campus, Overton restaurants and shops...Downtown Lubbock Museums close-by.
Easy access from Marsha Sharp freeway. Very friendly and helpful staff at check-in. Rooms were clean, very roomy, and well furnished. Internet was great, room service food was excellent and views of Overton/Texas Tech Campus were breathtaking. Highly recommend!!!!
