This was a great, little hotel inside the wall. The staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. The hotel is built into a very old building but is nicely done. Not much to look at from the outside, so a real surprise when you get in. The room was nicely furnished and maintained. There was parking nearby and easy access to the street. This was our first time in Lucca and the walled city was great. We were surprised by how many shops, restaurants, etc were inside the wall. A great place to spend a few days.

Pros: Perfect location for exploring Lucca
The hotel lies just of the main shopping drag in Lucca but is in the quietest of courtyards. This makes it the perfect place to base your explorations of this lovely town.

Pros: The service.
Location: Ideal location in the center of everything
A great place to stay in Lucca. Wonderful location and FABULOUS hostess, who goes out of her way to help guests. Rooms are small but fully equipped, and they have lots of character.

A special hotel with excellent servicePosted May 19, 2013
Pros: Location and ambience
Location: Reached from Via Fillungo via a courtyard . Near to the Anfiteatro with its many cafes. 15 minute walk to the bus stn and 20 minutes to the train stn
We arrived around 11am to drop off our bags and were delighted to be welcomed by name and offered coffee, which arrived with croissants too! This historical property is an oasis in the beautiful town of Lucca. Our room (7) was spacious and the bathroom gleaming, with a jacuzzi bath. The room was front facing, so there was some noise from the street, but nothing to worry about. Breakfast was very good, with copious amounts of proper coffee, choice of tea, fruit juice, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs, cheese, ham, bread, jam/honey selection of local tarts & pastries. Each morning we were offered a special little dish, sometimes pancakes with ricotta & chocolate and sometimes yogurt, honey & granola, which we thought was a lovely touch. We loved this hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We asked for some restaurant recommendations as we wanted to try traditional local dishes and we loved all those we tried. People in Lucca are very friendly, it's a great base for exploring Florence & Pisa and the churches, towers & palaces of Lucca are well worth a visit.
