I was only staying one night in the area and when I found this property, I was very happy. The staff was very friendly and helpful, Luciana and John at the bar in particular, and the outside areas were lovely. Great Breakfast and lunch there and a lovely setting. Luciana organized an amazing massage in the spa. I had a single room and it was a bit small but loved the outside balcony. I hope to see them again in the future! Grazie Europa!

Travelling 5 months of the year to different places n Europe. This is one of the best small hotels we have stayed in. Wonderful staff, great breakfast and lovely stmosphere. Close to the beach and many restaurants.

Enjoyed our stay very much . Excellent staff, all very friendly, professional and helpful. We had two Rooms , both very clean and pretty comfortable - although air con in one room seemed a lot better than it was in the other one we had . Decent bathrooms and showers. Breakfast very good , enjoyed eating on the terrace every day. Very chilled vibe around the pool- not the largest but it just about accomodated everyone who wanted to be there ! Enjoyed using the hotel bikes to cycle the beach front. Nice , safe resort. Would recommend restaurants around the hotel rather than the many on the promenade . Would recommend for a relaxing break 😊

Very good location. A few minutes walk to the beach and restaurant's. All the staff were very helpful and can recommend some lovely restaurant's (they will also try to book them for you).

Wonderful hotel and staff
Fantastic hotel, location is superb for the beach and bus stops which take you all over. A short distance from Viareggio which can be walked to via the woodlands or the promenade. Hotel staff were some of the best I have encountered, so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing and had everything you could want for. My only criticism (and this is really minor) was that there are not enough beds around the pool and our room was on the back side of the hotel (no view) which meant we could not open the shutters and therefore had no natural light. Neither would deter me from visiting and staying again - this is a superb example of a small and friendly hotel with everything you could want.

amazing hotel, the art deco details are beautiful. check out the bronze elevator doors, simply gorgeous! only 1 block to beach. lovely grounds with pool and plantings, outdoor patio with tables, large lobby open to restaurant/breakfast room, comfy couches in seating area with old book detailing the history of the building/owner on the coffee table. very interesting! small room with high ceilings, beautiful crown molding, elegant furnishings, creative use of space in the bathroom but very adequate. shutters for darkening and privacy. complimentary bikes to ride to beach/promenade.wonderful complimentary breakfast.

Enjoyed my stay very much. The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was very good, parking was included in the price and location is just one block from the beach. Also, hotel offeres bikes, free for guests. Be warned that outdoor pool was not heated - so it was pretty much unusable in October. I suppose it's wrong to advertise features that can't be used... But I still give the hotel my 5-star rating, based on all the positives

Friendly as always. The Hotel Europa staff make this place special. Wonderful breakfast in the sunshine by the pool and gentle conversation at the bar in the evening. All a stone's throw from the beach and promenade.

Had two wonderful weeks in the Europa . The location of the hotel is spot on , only three minutes from the beach and promenade, very central . Rooms were cleaned everyday , new towels and bed sheets also new every day. Plenty of choices for breakfast also provided a super lite lunch during the day. The staff were friendly and professional at all times and went the extra mile to ensure our stay was comfortable. Very helpful on local knowledge and booking trips, taxis restaurants etc. Will certainly be returning to the Europa for the same again.

We were here on a family holiday, the first room that we got was not what we expected but when we brought it to the attention of the hotel we were moved to a fantastic double room. The hotel is literally a minutes walk from the beach, great pool and a nice bar for the evening time. Would stay here again without hesitation

Quiet, comfortable hotel close to the beach.
Staff within this beautiful establishment are attentive and helpful without being intrusive throughout your stay. This is the second time we visited the hotel and both visits provided us with a relaxing experience, coupled with good food and excellent attention to detail. The hotel is a converted villa surrounded by quiet cared for gardens housing a small private pool. The property is situated close to the beach and many fab eating places. Staff within the hotel recommended good places to eat and visit, and assisted with provision of a taxi service managed by a wonderful man from Florence named Alberto. During our stay, we visited the Puccini opera within near bye Torre del Lago. Alberto escorted us to the opera and collected us for the return journey back to the hotel at 12.30 a.m. Everyone within the hotel speaks very good English and enjoyed our attempts at speaking Italian. We intend returning to this hotel again, and have already recommended it to friends who have made a reservation already.

Do not take the Economy room!!
we booked 2 nights, economy double room. the room was so small that we upgraded the second night to a regular room. the upgrade was worth the money. other than that it was nice, reasonable breakfast, good location near the sea, lots of restaurants in the area, has parking, nice staff. the hotel decor is a little old fashioned, two faucets in sink and shower.

Nice hotel, staff friendly. breakfast was nice and pretty varied. Wifi had strong signal but was mostly too busy to connect. Pool looked a funny colour but otherwise enjoyable. Parking spaces are few so my advice is to arrive early. Bike are useful for pottering around locally.

Great location
The room we had booked was far too small for us but the hotel very quickly found a larger room for only a small price difference. They also allowed us to keep our room until 5pm on the last day, again for a charge, but the convenience of being able to do this was well worth it. The hotel is in a great location and is just a short stroll from the beach and lots of restaurants. The pool and lovely comfy pool beds were great too. If only they could stop selfish people from saving pool beds while they go missing for hours on end it would be nigh on perfect.

We knew we would like this hotel from the moment we drove into the jasmine screened grounds. We enjoyed the quiet comfort of this former bishop's residence and received a warm welcome. Although their restaurant only provides breakfast, a choice of nearby establishments that provide a discount were recommended. The hotel is an easy walk from the long wide promenade with many other attractions, but the outdoor swimming pool looked enticing. We would have liked to stay longer and would happily return but it still provided a convenient overnight stay on a drive further south.

Lovely hotel 50 metes from the beach
Second time at this hotel was every bit as good as the first. Accommodation excellent, staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely atmosphere. If you want to eat where the locals eat, go to La Pergola, which is a ten minute walk from the hotel. 10% discount for Hotel Europa residents. Won't hesitate to go back.

Fantastic Location
This is a friendly hotel where the staff will go out of their way to assist in anyway possible. There is a small pool for guests to use and also a sauna. There are also a number of cycles which can be borrowed free from the hotel on a first come basis. Rooms are spotless and linen changed daily, you can borrow towels to use at the pool from reception, saves getting your room towels soiled. All in all a really nice place to stay. One word of warning, the car park is not very big and you may on the rare occasion get blocked in. So leave your keys with the night porter who will move the cars around to let people out when they have to depart early for return flights.

This is not a 4 star hotel
Hotel staff was great, but compared to other hotels we stayed in Italy this hotel does not even come close to the standard. Rooms are very small, outdated with old furniture without even a desk and chair in the room. The TV was very small and did not work properly. The entire hotel is very old and it looks it received its rating sometime in the past and it was never updated. BTW, it is located in Lido di Camaiore (Camaiore beach) and not Camaiore.

Another relaxing stay
My wife and I have stayed at the Europa three times since stumbling across it three years ago whilst travelling in this area of Italy and now use it for a relaxing ten day or so to chill out. Our returns are down to the quaintness of a small, but elegant hotel, but most importantly to the owner, Tony and his small staff. I would say that everybody connected with the running of the hotel are rightly proud of the Europa and this enthusiasm is transferred to guests to whom they are attentive and efficient, welcoming and friendly.

Cracking hotel with lovely pool area
Lovely hotel and really enjoyed our stay. Room was a very good size (slightly over furnished) with a small balcony over looking the mountains. Wifi access was available for free throughout the hotel and grounds, which was a bonus when lounging at the pool. The pool area, bar, lounge and garden were cracking as well. The whole building was well maintained, spotless and typically italian - the pictures on the net do not do it justice. There are a few shops/bars on the door step. It's only a 2minute walk to the beach, local bars, restaurents and shops. The only negative comments that I would make are that the AC in the room was pretty noisy (although being replaced soon I was told) and that although we arrived in the morning, the hotel made no effort to let us checkin until 2pm.

Wir hatten kürzlich das Vergnügen, im “Hotel Europe” zu übernachten und die Erfahrung war fantastisch! Von Anfang an fiel uns das außergewöhnlich freundliche Personal auf. Sie waren stets hilfsbereit, aufmerksam und gaben uns das Gefühl, herzlich willkommen zu sein. Was dieses Hotel wirklich besonders macht, war die Möglichkeit, unseren Hund mitzubringen. Es war so beruhigend zu wissen, dass unsere Lou genauso geschätzt wurde wie wir. Die Atmosphäre im Hotel ist familiär und einladend. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt! Die Gemeinschaftsbereiche sind gemütlich gestaltet! Die Lage des Hotels ist einfach unschlagbar, nur wenige Schritte vom Strand entfernt. Der Zugang zum Strand könnte nicht bequemer sein. Zusammengefasst: Unser Aufenthalt im Hotel Europe war ein unvergessliches Erlebnis und wir können dieses Hotel wärmstens empfehlen, besonders wenn Sie freundliches Personal, tierfreundliche Unterkünfte, eine familiäre Atmosphäre und die Nähe zum Strand schätzen.
