Good Base for Exploring LucaPosted Oct 12, 2014
Pros: Everything. Breakfast was average, but everything else was up to four star.
Cons: Breakfast - staff were fine, but not a particularly inspiring food offering, I have had better in two star hotels.
Location: Within cithy walls so everything within 20 mins walk or less on hotel bikes. Excellent restaurants and Puccini opera extracts - do not miss this.
We had a good start as we were upgraded to a very spacious and beautifully appointed suite in the annexe. Contrary to comments elsewhere, this is literally just across the road from the hotel, and if you want to spend time in the hotel there are complimentary snacks available throughout the day. Staff were very pleasant and the Reception staff were very obliging e.g with recommendations, travel advice, securing an extension for the room on the day we left etc. We enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation about using the hotel again.

Modern rooms with all amenitiesPosted Oct 11, 2014
Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, easy wi-fi, every amenity, reasonably priced. Free NY Times. Only drawback: perhaps 100 TV stations and not one in English.

Perfect hotel in a charming townPosted Sep 12, 2014
Location: The hotel is a couple blocks inside the wall which surrounds the historic center of Lucca. Everything within the wall is within easy walking distance.
Wonderful hotel with all the modern conveniences in a picture perfect 15th century town. Private parking lot, breakfast, internet and use of bicycles all included with room. My wife and I definitely would return.

An excellent stay in LuccaPosted Sep 11, 2014
My wife and I stayed the Residenza dell'Alba suite room (across the street from the main Hotel Ilaria) for a couple of nights. The unit was awesome—spacious and beautifully set. Living room and the larger bathroom with a spa is on the first level, and the bedroom is on the upper level with the second bathroom. Breakfast was at the main Hotel Ilaria building, and it was good. They provide complimentary bikes—nice touch. It is close to everywhere :) If you drive, get inside the city wall from Porta Elisa, just go straight, and turn right on Via del Fosso just before the twin towers where the ZTL (limited driving zone) starts.

Lucca conveniencePosted Sep 3, 2014
Room basic but fine. Hotel in good position and easy to find. Parking convenient and parking assistant takes over . Nice roof terrace. Breakfast good. Foyer drinks and cakes are nice touch. Jaccuzi on roof not working. Overall good stay

Best Boutique great Vibe HotelPosted Aug 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
Pictures do not do it justice. Valet Parking for our larger UK vehicle was great relief. Hotel Staff so welcoming and implemented all requests, but we were so comfortable we were happy to be there for four days. Lucca is amazing and I recommend a tour guide to get the most out of your visit. The room was immaculate and the porters very accommodating with adjusting the bike you can borrow during your stay. The city is for walking and biking. And all at a reasonable price.

Hotel in Centre of LuccaPosted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Being right in the city walls meant walking through the City was easy.
Cons: Stay in the Main Building.
Nice Hotel and really well positioned however we were in the Annexe and would have preferred the main building. Ask to be in the main part if you are thinking os staying. Great to have car parking within the walls of the City so unlikely to be bettered for facilities.
