Pleasantly surprised.Posted Aug 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
We were pleasantly surprised by Hotel Venezia. It is a decent 3* hotel - not luxurious but clean and very friendly staff. We chose it for its proximity to the beach and also the restaurants in the pedestrian area. We loved the quiet residential area with the huge umbrella pines which smelt lovely and was very peaceful. The kids loved the pool which was a must for them. Breakfast was plentiful but never changing, which by day 5 got boring. Would have been nice to have at least one change of dish a day. Rooms were simple, large (we had double and bunk beds) and cleaned every day with fresh towels.

Great hotel for a family relaxing short breakPosted Aug 3, 2013
Pros: Pool and breakfast
Cons: A little bit noisy in the morning with too many little kids
Location: Close to beach and resturants. Near Train line to Pisa and Cinqa Terra
We picked this Hotel because it has a Pool. We spent quite a bit of time relaxing by the pool. The area was grassed and there is plenty of sun and shade. The hotel is a family friendly. The bedroom was large and adequete with a small balcony available for washing to dry. The are heavy shutters to keep the room cool during the day as well as air conditioners. The beds were adequete but not nothing flash. The location of the hotel was close to the beach and to local resturants. The train station was 4kls away which can take you to Cinqa Terra or Pisa in a half an hour. Local bus can take you to station or other areas also. The breakfast buffet had plenty of fresh fruit and cereals and pastry/bread as well as some eggs etc. There is also the resturant there for lunch and dinner if needed. There was plenty of comfy chairs on the front deck and a roof top area where a great view of the distance mountains and sea can be seen. The hotel is a excellent 3 star but not a 4 star. Value for money.

Good Hotel near the beachPosted Jul 14, 2013
Pros: Pool, bar, breakfast and area.
Cons: The room decorations could be better.
Location: Bike riding. Near Forte dei Marmi. Good shopping and fun.
This hotel is in a very nice residential area a few blocks from the beach. The hotel has a nice pool area, bar and breakfast buffet. The room was okay, fairly generic. I called it the Ikea room. Lots of restaurants nearby. The staff was okay but could have been friendlier and more informative. We ate at local restaurants every night. However, on Saturday nights reservations are required everywhere! We nearly did not find a place for dinner. The staff could have told us about this. We were in Italy for two weeks and we scheduled a couple of days here as a rest period from all the sightseeing. It served the purpose well.

Dear Mr. Chuck, Thank you for having reviewed our hotel. We are very happy to know you have spent such a nice holiday with us. I personally apologize for the problem with the restaurants in the center, but usually it's not necessary the reservation also on Saturday nights. Thank you very much and many greetings from Italy, Luca Baldini

Highly recommended hotel on the Italian Riviera.Posted Jul 2, 2013
Pros: The food is outstanding. Italian cuisine with the menu in English / Italian / German. Definitely recommend half board for the evening meal.
Cons: Not much. With the exception of reception, the majority of the rest of the staff only speak Italian - but that is part of the charm.
Location: Superb location. 200m from the beach (easy, flat walk) and about 500m from the autrostrada.
This is an excellent hotel. It is light and welcoming with good facilities and near to the Italian Riviera coast. In addition, it is well located for day trips to Pisa, Lucca and Genoa. This was our second stay in the hotel and we were not disappointed as it lived up to our high expectations. Rooms are comfortable with a very small balcony not quite large enough to sit at but the hotel pool and surrounding shaded area is very accessible. The glass doors to the balcony had large metal pull down shutters to keep the room cool during the heat of the day and, of course, the room had air conditioning. En suite is satisfactory; clean and functional. Food is very good and there is an excellent choice of wines in the restaurant. Parking is a bit limited but there is ample street parking at the front of the hotel.

Great hotel for families and couplesPosted Jun 19, 2013
Pros: The breakfast, the staff and the pool area.
Cons: The beds!
Location: Very quiet, ten minutes from the beach, half an hour bus journey from the main town. Very convenient.
Me and my boyfriend stayed here recently and thoroughly enjoyed the stay! The room was immaculate and the maid came once a day, the breakfast was lovely and had a wide variety and the staff were extremely professional and friendly. Also the fact that a lot of them could speak good English was particularly helpful. The pool area was medium sized but kept in very good condition and the pool was always clean, if a bit cold! Also a bus runs past the top of the road taking you into Pietresanta itself every ten minutes and it was just a ten minute walk to the beach. The only flaw about this hotel which unfortunately did affect my stay was the bed. We only had one pillow which was quite flat and I found the bed quite uncomfortable, resulting in much tossing and turning during the nights. However my boyfriend slept fine so would not necessarily be a problem for everyone!

The staff at Hotel Venezia were professional and kind. They went out of their way to make our stay special. The restaurant had a bountiful breakfast selection. The grounds were kept in perfect condition, with a lovely swimming pool.

Hotel Venezia excellentPosted Aug 15, 2011 on Hotels.com
Excellent location, decor, staff, decor, gardens swimming pool and breakfast.Nothing was to much trouble for the staff who provided lots of friendly help when asked. My wife & i stayed in a room which was big enough for at least another 2 persons to stay in the room. Very modern bathroom with all services required supplied with clean towels every day. This Hotel was 3 star rated but I would rate it at 4 star as it was an excellent hotel. It was conveniently located with just a short walk to the main street restaurants & shops.Would definately stay there again and would highly recommend to others to stay there.

wonderful placePosted Jul 12, 2011
Beautiful location, and beautiful relaxing grounds. Table tennis and a lovely pool, which a lot of places don't have and which is a must when the temperature is in the thirties. A little bit of a walk from the town centre (10 minutes) with lots of great restaurants. The rooms are spacious but the only drawback is that they didn't have a refrigerator to keep drinks in. There was supposed to be wifi, but when we were there it wasn't working and after 3 days it still hadn't been fixed. However, the staff did their best to help out so we could access wifi, for important reasons, and they arranged for us to go to another local hotel and use theirs. We didn't take up the offer, because we found a restaurant in the town (Tamata?) that had wifi and we could sit outside and access it without a password being necessary. We would consider staying in the area again, but would probably look for another hotel with a pool, closer to the town centre.

Very NicePosted Jul 2, 2009 on Hotels.com
Service was excellent, friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast items were good and varied. Overall a very pleasant experience and we would gladly return. The hotel is a relatively, and nice walking distance from the beach and downtown shopping area, which suited us just fine.
