Nice hotel

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Helpful, friendly and informative staff. Quiet. Clean. Hotel food excellent
Cons: Shabby stair carpet and stained and worn seal on shower cubicle creates poor first impression. Mirror on back of wardrobe door would be useful.
Location: Quiet peaceful location. Within walking distance of beach and local shops and restaurants.
Fortnights holiday with partner and teenage daughter.

Lovely location and recommended hotel

Posted Jun 15, 2014
Pros: Staff and location.
Cons: Fridge in the hotel room.
Great hotel for a short holiday. The hotel is located close to Pisa and Florence and you could easily combine a city and short beach holiday. The resort is lovely and the hotel is located in a quiet street. Friendly staff and very clean. Impressive a v good 3 star hotel.

Relaxing and clean hotel near the marina

Posted May 30, 2014
Great holiday- the staff were all very helpful and friendly, the room was spacious with a small balcony with mountain views slightly obscured by trees, and there was a tasty buffet breakfast of cold meats/ cheeses, pastries, cereal, toast and cakes. Nice well maintained garden though the pool is a little shallow. Walking distance from the marina shopping and restaurant street and beach (only one stretch is public). A car is probably needed to properly explore the region though we managed using buses to pietrasanta itself (gorgeous quiet town full of sculptures) and then trains. The buses don't run late though and taxis are extortionate. Overall a fantastic trip.

Pleasantly surprised.

We were pleasantly surprised by Hotel Venezia. It is a decent 3* hotel - not luxurious but clean and very friendly staff. We chose it for its proximity to the beach and also the restaurants in the pedestrian area. We loved the quiet residential area with the huge umbrella pines which smelt lovely and was very peaceful. The kids loved the pool which was a must for them. Breakfast was plentiful but never changing, which by day 5 got boring. Would have been nice to have at least one change of dish a day. Rooms were simple, large (we had double and bunk beds) and cleaned every day with fresh towels.

Great hotel for a family relaxing short break

Posted Aug 3, 2013
Pros: Pool and breakfast
Cons: A little bit noisy in the morning with too many little kids
Location: Close to beach and resturants. Near Train line to Pisa and Cinqa Terra
We picked this Hotel because it has a Pool. We spent quite a bit of time relaxing by the pool. The area was grassed and there is plenty of sun and shade. The hotel is a family friendly. The bedroom was large and adequete with a small balcony available for washing to dry. The are heavy shutters to keep the room cool during the day as well as air conditioners. The beds were adequete but not nothing flash. The location of the hotel was close to the beach and to local resturants. The train station was 4kls away which can take you to Cinqa Terra or Pisa in a half an hour. Local bus can take you to station or other areas also. The breakfast buffet had plenty of fresh fruit and cereals and pastry/bread as well as some eggs etc. There is also the resturant there for lunch and dinner if needed. There was plenty of comfy chairs on the front deck and a roof top area where a great view of the distance mountains and sea can be seen. The hotel is a excellent 3 star but not a 4 star. Value for money.

Good Hotel near the beach

Posted Jul 14, 2013
Pros: Pool, bar, breakfast and area.
Cons: The room decorations could be better.
Location: Bike riding. Near Forte dei Marmi. Good shopping and fun.
This hotel is in a very nice residential area a few blocks from the beach. The hotel has a nice pool area, bar and breakfast buffet. The room was okay, fairly generic. I called it the Ikea room. Lots of restaurants nearby. The staff was okay but could have been friendlier and more informative. We ate at local restaurants every night. However, on Saturday nights reservations are required everywhere! We nearly did not find a place for dinner. The staff could have told us about this. We were in Italy for two weeks and we scheduled a couple of days here as a rest period from all the sightseeing. It served the purpose well.

Dear Mr. Chuck, Thank you for having reviewed our hotel. We are very happy to know you have spent such a nice holiday with us. I personally apologize for the problem with the restaurants in the center, but usually it's not necessary the reservation also on Saturday nights. Thank you very much and many greetings from Italy, Luca Baldini

Highly recommended hotel on the Italian Riviera.

Posted Jul 2, 2013
Pros: The food is outstanding. Italian cuisine with the menu in English / Italian / German. Definitely recommend half board for the evening meal.
Cons: Not much. With the exception of reception, the majority of the rest of the staff only speak Italian - but that is part of the charm.
Location: Superb location. 200m from the beach (easy, flat walk) and about 500m from the autrostrada.
This is an excellent hotel. It is light and welcoming with good facilities and near to the Italian Riviera coast. In addition, it is well located for day trips to Pisa, Lucca and Genoa. This was our second stay in the hotel and we were not disappointed as it lived up to our high expectations. Rooms are comfortable with a very small balcony not quite large enough to sit at but the hotel pool and surrounding shaded area is very accessible. The glass doors to the balcony had large metal pull down shutters to keep the room cool during the heat of the day and, of course, the room had air conditioning. En suite is satisfactory; clean and functional. Food is very good and there is an excellent choice of wines in the restaurant. Parking is a bit limited but there is ample street parking at the front of the hotel.

Great hotel for families and couples

Posted Jun 19, 2013
Pros: The breakfast, the staff and the pool area.
Cons: The beds!
Location: Very quiet, ten minutes from the beach, half an hour bus journey from the main town. Very convenient.
Me and my boyfriend stayed here recently and thoroughly enjoyed the stay! The room was immaculate and the maid came once a day, the breakfast was lovely and had a wide variety and the staff were extremely professional and friendly. Also the fact that a lot of them could speak good English was particularly helpful. The pool area was medium sized but kept in very good condition and the pool was always clean, if a bit cold! Also a bus runs past the top of the road taking you into Pietresanta itself every ten minutes and it was just a ten minute walk to the beach. The only flaw about this hotel which unfortunately did affect my stay was the bed. We only had one pillow which was quite flat and I found the bed quite uncomfortable, resulting in much tossing and turning during the nights. However my boyfriend slept fine so would not necessarily be a problem for everyone!

A WONDERFUL HOTEL!

The staff at Hotel Venezia were professional and kind. They went out of their way to make our stay special. The restaurant had a bountiful breakfast selection. The grounds were kept in perfect condition, with a lovely swimming pool.
