The reception was not so welcoming. The room was fine but very outdated. The breakfast was very poor, they did not have a welcoming attitude at all, the variety was very low. Most dishes were finished and no one refilled them. We reserved for sauna and pool but they were closed. A very very poor quality.

Nice staff but a little tired and in need of a bit of love and care. Small blankets and a heater that didn’t work well made sleep difficult. But staff were great.

Overall good, but rooms are poorly soundproofed. Good breakfast. Outdoor parking, insecure and accessible to public. Located in sub-rural area of the town, with very few alternatives to dining, other than at the hotel.

One of nicest Mercure in Germany!!
I was on a Business trip in Germany and I usually try NOT to go for a Hotel chain to support the local economy. However after suffering a bad experience with a small hotel the night before I thought why not go for the Mercure in Luedenscheid! AND WOW, I made the right choice here. The hotel was recently refurbished and all looks brand new. Staff were VERY VERY friendly. I've been to many Mercure hotels but this one stands out as my favourite by a country mile. Restaurant was clean, staff were friendly there too and the food was tasty, fresh! Had loads of option for breakfast too.

We have stay in hotel after long drive trough Europe and we have enjoy it.The rooms are spacious and beds conformable. The newly refurbished swimming pool in top floor is perfect for kids to play, spa and sauna to relax.

First Class Customer Service - Mercure Ludenscheid
Stayed 12 nights with my wife. Had a great trip despite the weather. The Hotel was excellent, all the staff were really helpful, offering the best tips for local visits and responding to every question with positivity. Excellent buffet breakfast each day, with wonderful staff to help us and welcome us to breakfast each morning. Made full use of the Sauna and Swimming Pool. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would certainly have no problems recommending this hotel. Thank you Mercure Ludenscheid for a wonderful stay.

Hotel did not advise us of renovation work going on the floor below us. On two mornings out of three we were woken up shortly after 08.00 by the sound of heavy drills. Hotel offered no alternative room or compensation.

Hotel is located just a few minutes drive from the highway. We got the suite and were pleasantly shocked by the size of the room. The bedroom was very spacious as was the bathroom there was a second bathroom in the entry hall with a toilet and shower. The second room had two love seats. One love seat converted into a very comfortable bed. Not the usual fold out bed where you always feel the metal bars. Instead there is a pullout mattress integrated into the seat. As a bonus there is a huge pool on the upper floor. Most hotel pools seem like over-zed hot tubs. This was a proper 25 meter long pool. Everything was clean. We arrived earlier than planned. I asked about getting access to the room. The room was not ready yet (2 pm) staff whipped into action and got the room ready in about 20 minutes. Breakfast was also very satisfying.

Very friendly staff, great for business travel.
I arrived after a long day travelling and found the staff to be very welcoming and helpful. I was too tired to use the leisure facilities but I had a drink in the bar and dinner in the restaurant. The service was excellent and the food very good. I enjoyed staying here and the wifi and free parking make it a great business travel base for the area.

Best Hotel in Ludenscheid
This is the best hotel in town. Even though is not the best I have stayed at, it is good. One good thing is that is located on a quite area and 10 minutes walking distance from downtown.

Very good hotel
I stayed at this hotel recently and I would highly recommend it to other people who like high standard hotels in a beautiful and quiet area.The suite room was very spacious and beautifully furnished.The swimming pool at the 11th floor was impressing with an amazing view of the mountains.The staff were very helpful and friendly.There is a nice footpath near the hotel sorrounded by the forest.In my opinion this should be a 5 star not 4 star property.

Excellent Hotel in Ludenscheid Germany
This is an excellent place to stay in Ludenscheid Germany. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is friendly and speaks excellent English. The WiFi is free and fast. The onsite restaurant is good, and the breakfast is also good and reasonably priced. The property is located adjacent to a nice park with ample area to walk for exercise. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk from the hotel to downtown Ludenscheid. This is my preferred hotel for visits to the Ludenscheid area.

Quiet comfortable hotel in need of repair
This property is showing signs of age and rooms need more lighting (it seems this is a problem at all hotels these days). Breakfast is ample and the three choices of eggs is very nice. Bread selection at Breakfast can vary from poor to good. Fresh fruit selection is good, but cut fruit is average. In general the food quality is average and demonstrates the focus on quantity vs quality that seems to satisfy the majority of tastes in this region. The restaurant provides average quality food at inflated prices, even if a starter and main course are shared between 2 persons, which I always do.
