A slightly underwhelming parador
This is not the best parador I have stayed in but it isn’t bad either. It benefits from great views across the estuary and a pleasant bar and restaurant to enjoy it from. The rooms are basic, small and rather dark. The staff are extremely helpful and pleasant and the food and drink is reasonably priced. I couldn’t help thinking that they could make so much more of the place though.

Lovely Parador. Very clean and all staff Covid aware. Felt totally safe. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Lots of secure parking. Just a short walk into town.

Parador de Ribadeo
Thanks to a severely delayed ferry, what was supposed to be a day touring through Cantabria ended up being a late dash to Ribadeo and an overnight stop at Parador. The hotel was very comfortable and clean and the room's enclosed balcony had beautiful views across the bay. There was convenient free parking opposite and the hotel is a short walk from all the sites and facilities of the town. The restaurant and room service had both finished for the day by the time we arrived so we can't comment on the quality of the catering.

Parador on River Eo
We enjoyed our stay at the Ribadeo Parador. The views from the restaurant were awesome and our meals there were quite good (especially the breakfast spread). We were within walking distance of the downtown area as well as the walkway along the river. Our room didn’t have a view but was plenty comfortable. Our only wish is that someone at the parador had told us that if we were interested in going to As Catedrais (one of the places that the parador listed as a must see), that we should get a voucher and reservation so that we could go down on the beach. We drove out there and were turned away and had no idea why until we looked information up on the web.

Stunning views in a great hotel
We have stayed here before 10 years ago and loved the location and views from our room. We were initially given another room which we didnt like. The receptionist changed the room efficiently and we had a stunning view as expected.

Great location overlooking the Eo river. Staff were great. Our room had a balcony that was looking west and we saw 2 beautiful sunsets from there. So.e of the carpets in the jotel looked to be beyond their useful life. Otherwise the facilities were very good.

Charming Hotel in Ribadero
Lovely staff and excellent service. Ribadero is a charming small city with a quiet and calm vibe. Breakfast was good, with typical options found in European hotels. Breads, meats, fruits, coffee, etc.,not the most expansive but covered all areas. Room was spacious and felt very much like a home. My only complain might be the oder in the hallways, but it's a very-very old building so something was bound to be a little off. I would stay here again.

Ribadeo does not offer much choice for hotels. This hotel has different types of rooms. We recommend to go for a room with terrace/balcony where the view is breathtaking.

Beautiful Views
The hotel is located near the shipping docks with a beautiful view of the harbor. Service was great from check in, restaurant staff and bar. The rooms are large, and we had a wonderful porch attached. Some of the common area could be updated die to worn fabrics but the hotel is still beautiful and convenient. We loved our stay

A very good hotel
We came to this hotel after leaving the hot area of Santiago de Compostela (around 35 C), some 180Km to the South and enjoying a very good fish lunch at Rinlo ( a village nearby). The service was quick and pleasant. Our room were nice, clean and large with the view to the port ( we saw so many trees to be sent by ships, and their tree's uploading process). The room was quiet and large, and their bathroom was great, it was large and convenient. We sated there for a night in order to enjoy their wonderful local shore. Highly recommended (both the hotel and their shore)

Slightly Disappointing Parador
In comparison to other Paradors and hotels we stayed in during our tour of Northern Spain, this was perhaps the most disappointing. The hotel was nice enough, but it all just felt like it needed a little bit of love and attention. I understand that the appeal is that their is perhaps some historical significance, but it still could have been a little more "4 Star". The cleaner had left a great big seagull poo down the window (nb this certainly didn't look fresh) which meant that the view was somewhat ruined. I also think charging for a bottle of water is wrong in a 4 Star hotel and that these should be complimentary. The views however were stunning and the lunch we had was also lovely. Free parking also a big plus. There wasn't a great deal to do in Ribadeo, but the short drive to Playa de los Cathederales is a must.

A nice find in the north of Spain
The Parador was a nice spot to stay on a very, very long business trip across Spain. Utilizing only Hotels.com to navigate my stays across the north of Spain, I was never sure what kind of town and hotel I was going to arrive to. Some hotel chains I am familiar with, which helps, but on this particular night, there was nothing in this town that I knew of. The hotel is quite old, but very well maintained and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. From the front desk, to the barkeep, we were treated with kindness and prompt attention. They could tell we were travel weary and did a great job accommodating us. In the morning, we had an early start and breakfast was not supposed to begin until 8 a.m. However, the front desk lady (don't remember her name), helped get us into the breakfast service a half an hour early. The waitress was happy to accommodate us, and even had the kitchen make me fried eggs and bacon! All in all, bed was fine, room was fine, view from room is overlooking a gorgeous cove/bay from the sea and also of the mountains. Ammenities in the bathroom were fine and overall the quick stay was perfect. An added note would be to take the 15 minute walk to La Solana restaurant. It was one of the best meals I've had in a long, long time.

Nice place for a stopover.
Nice place to stay between Baiona and Santillana del Mar. Staff very helpful with dinner suggestions. Comfortable beds and nice room. Recommend.

Parador not up to par
This parador is very poorly maintained. Our room smelled horribly of cigarette smoke and were only offered an alternate room at at cost of fifty euros. We had to sleep with all the windows open it was so bad. The room we were in had badly stained walls and generally the hotel needed a good cleaning. Unfortunately, I would be very hestiant to stay in any more paradors after our experience here. It is definitly not a four star hotel and lowers the standards expected in a parador.

Très agréable hôtel
Superbe séjour dans cet hôtel extrêmement bien placé. Toutes les chambres ont la vue sur la mer avec toujours une petite avancée sur la mer et quelques unes avec terrasse. Excellent petit déjeuner. Le personnel est très accueillant. Et un parking gratuit est à dispo en face de l’hôtel.
