Pros: Good location
Cons: Door to outside stuck so I needed help to open it, note of water provided,no water, note that if towels were hung up wouldn't be replaced, they were.
Location: Severy island swimming boating
Overall it was good but there were some glitches. I had to chase down the staff to get things that were written as being provided in the room. The door to the outside needed to be sanded, I could barely open it. The plus was the location and Lund is such an awesome place. Next time I would get a better room at the front of the hotel, ours was just a basic room, nothing special about it at all.

Nice place to stay close to the beachPosted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Location is very nice
Cons: Opening hours of restaurant and bar
Very nice place in a nice, quiet setting. Restaurant closes at 9pm, bar at 10pm.

Wonderful Location, OK HotelPosted Jul 12, 2014
Lund as the gateway to Desolation Sound is in an amazing location. The hotel itself is a reasonably well maintained, old building. The room was well appointed. It, however, wasn't ready for a 3PM check-in. Had to wait 30 minutes. The floor was dusty but the room otherwise clean, with nice laminate wood floors. The included continental buffet was disappointing. The fruit salad was commercially produced, probably from a long way away. Too bad, as this time of year there are wonderful local strawberries and raspberries. No choice of low fat or skim milk. Somewhat stale tasting breakfast cereal. The internet access was slow and unreliable. The staff are friendly, and professional. When I complained about the internet access, I was offered an upgrade to better class room. Overall the hotel is perfectly fine. Just not top notch. I think some relatively minor investments would boost this to a 4 or even a 4.5 without too much difficulty.

The end of the road, literally!Posted Sep 20, 2013
Pros: Room was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast included fresh fruit salad and natural yogurt..
Cons: Nothing specific.
Location: Location is at the end of the paved road, so - if you don't have a boat... We ate at a fabulous restaurant about 6km away - The Laughing Oyster.
Everything closes very early, including the front desk and store. It was the end of the season, so understandable. Hotel caters to boaters primarily. A nice renovation. We were only there one night, and the weather was not great. Our room was not cheap.

Right in the centre of thingsPosted Sep 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
This location was extremely convenient for a personal event, right in the centre of Lund. The property has been refurbished, the room was comfortable, and the desk staff friendly. The continental breakfast was a little sparse (no fresh fruit or take away coffee); go to Nancy's bakery as a better option. Most of the rooms have predominantly a street/parking lot view; ask for a west facing one for the best water views. Overall, a good choice for an overnight in downtown Lund.

The scenery is very beautiful so close to the ocean...the bed was not that comfortable...we kind of sunk to the middle of the mattress in either bed...new flooring, walls freshly painted, new bathtub in our room....limited tv stations but they allow you 1 free dvd rental a day which was very nice....we had lovely view from our room of the bay...all in all it was a very relaxing pleasant stay

A Romantic destinationPosted Sep 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
A lovely setting and a very friendly atmosphere. WE were comfortable but would liked to have watched TV or the DVD which was provided. We couldn't. get either to work. A return stay is definitely on the cards

Very simple and cleanPosted Aug 28, 2013
Pros: Sunset from the Pub was great and there was live music. The art gallery below the hotel was a highlight!
Location: The bakery across the parking lot offered good coffee and breakfast options, great views of marina.
Room was very clean and had a good sized fridge for our snacks. We were a little surprised to find there was only 1 queen sized bed in the room, which was smaller than expected and did not have a view of the ocean but looked onto the parking lot so we kept the blinds closed.

Location, location!Posted Aug 10, 2013
Pros: Right by the water, west facing - amazing sunsets.
Cons: Hotel breakfast very forgettable. We ate at Nancy's cafe (close by) the second day.
Location: This is THE place to stay in Lund.
Can't beat the location, right by the water taxi that takes one to Savary Island and close to Oakover inlet for the start of our kayaking expedition. We had supper at the restaurant hotel. Food was pleasant though not spectacular. What WAS spectacular was sitting on the patio and watching the amazing sunset! The continental breakfast is very humdrum and could use more protein (cottage cheese or cheese slices). Smallish rooms, very friendly staff. We would certainly return.

Not very comfortablePosted Aug 9, 2013
Mattresses were too soft, sheets kept coming off. Very hot in room, and air conditioner was too loud, so had to turn it off to sleep, but then it got too hot so couldn't sleep anyway. Waitress got 3 things wrong on our order and neglected to tell us the kitchen would be closing soon, so when we tried to order dessert it was too late. On the plus side, they have a giant chess board on the lawn (ask for the pieces at he front desk if they're not out) and our family enjoyed playing several games.
