The Days Inn in New Market, VA is a nice option for folks passing thru that gorgeous area of the country on I-81.

Nice view of the MountainsPosted Oct 29, 2013
Pros: Right along the Highway 81 and quiet. Rooms were nice and clean.
Cons: More seating in the Breakfast room. It was a little crowded when everyone was in the breakfast room.
Location: The location right along Highway 81 was great. We didn't mind the 10 - 12 mile drive to Luray. Caverns and Skyline Drive were the big attractions.
We stayed for two nights, went to Luray Caverns which were not far from the Hotel. In the morning we had a nice little view of the Mountains and the breakfast was adequate.

I was very happy with my stay!Posted Oct 27, 2013
Pros: Comfortable bed!
Cons: Turn the hot water heater up a few notches.
Location: Mountain biking at the nearby Bryce Mountain resort.
I enjoyed my stay here. I checked in without issue and the attendant was very attentative and expedient. The hotel's beds were very comfortable and I slept very well. I recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the area!

Days Inn New Market BattlefieldPosted Sep 16, 2013
Pros: The night desk clerk was as helpful as she was able to be.
Cons: Management is sadly lacking at this facility. Other blaming instead of problem solving. Manager/owner was not competent at his job.
Location: Luray Caverns were beautiful and the facilities were first class. Physical maintenance very good, people were engaging and friendly, sandwiches good.
This hotel was not able to deliver on the services advertised. We stayed one Saturday night there in order to visit Luray Caverns and other nearby attractions on Sunday. We arrived between 8 and 9 pm and checked in, brought in the luggage, and checked the weather report on the TV. So far so good. When my wife tried to get on the internet through the Days Inn wireless network the problems started. We tried to call the front desk but the phone wasn't working either, so I walked on up to the office, and the nice front desk clerk got hold of another phone and brought it to our room. This phone did work. The desk clerk got her own laptop to check on system access, but was equally unable to get on the web.She then rebooted the main office computer to no avail, and called the owner.By now a lot of time had passed which which could have been better used enjoying our short trip. At 10:10 pm, the desk clerk called to say that access had suddenly been restored to her laptop. Although we still couldn't get ours to connect, it was already late at night and time to go to sleep.Other issues that ensued were running out of tissues(only 2 in the box),shower curtain had mildew spots, iron leaked water all over the ironing board and wife's blouse, and very poor cooperation from management when we complained Sunday morning. While the customer may not be always right, this young man was all over the map between blaming me for not requesting another room to not listening to what the issues were.
