Would not stay again.Posted Mar 2, 2014
Pros: The owners said no with a smile. It was a good location. It looked nice from the outside except the loose garbage in back.
Cons: see above!
Location: All of the above.
We had checked in with a small westie. I was going to pay the ten dollar pet fee but now I was told I had to go from a king to a double bed. Nowhere was that mentioned when I made the reservation. I said can I now get a cheaper rate because of the smaller bed? No, because I booked it through expedia. I said, can I get a break on the pet fee, no. The room was freezing cold. It took at least an hour to semi -warm up. The breakfast was a joke. Toast, hard boiled eggs, a frozen waffle and no decaf.

Does the job!Posted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: Accessibility, friendly staff, had a bed I could sleep in at night
Cons: Small improvements (see my experience above)
Location: 5 seconds from I-81. Access to everything! Short 10 minute drive from different caverns, so many vineyards. 15 minutes to a ton of restaurants.
My boyfriend and I stayed here over the weekend, 2 nights. The hotel itself is accessible to a whole lot of Shenandoah goodies, which was very, very nice. The hotel itself could take a lot of improvement, but we scored the place at $50 a night, so I don't think I can really complain. You're not paying for a Bed and Breakfast, so what do you expect? If little things don't bother you, then you should be OK. There was a ton of snow that fell during the week before our arrival. Their lot was completely plowed and safe to drive in. I thought that was pretty great. The rooms are a little dated and need a few little improvements (tiny holes in walls where appliances used to be anchored but were moved, the bathroom was mostly clean except the walls had some discoloration issues, radio clock broken but we had cell phones so we were fine). The walls between rooms are pretty thin and I was able to hear our neighbors conversations. However, on the plus we were in a non-smoking room and it smelled clean. The continental breakfast was decent for being included in the price of the room. It was nice if you didn't want to gorge yourself on some of the grease-tastic food available in the area. They had milk, juice, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, waffles, toast, cereal, tea, and coffee.

older hotel but worth itPosted Jan 9, 2014
Even though the hotel is older, the staff are really nice. The cleaning staff are conscientious, I would come back.

Just What We NeededPosted Nov 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
This was an on the road overnight. The room was clean and comfortable. We were disappointed with the breakfast selections which were cheap, uninteresting and peppered with "do not" signs. We skipped the breakfast and ate the cheese and fruit we had with us.

Nice hotel for the price/locationPosted Nov 18, 2013
The Days Inn in New Market, VA is a nice option for folks passing thru that gorgeous area of the country on I-81.
