“Would Not Stay Here Again”

The a/c didn't work properly, the toilet took 10 minutes to refill, the pipes when showering whistled loudly, we found a dirty sock on the floor, wall outet didn't work. On a brighter note the sheets and towels were clean and the wireless internet service was excellent.

“Nice and clean facility.”

Very nice and clean facility. Freindly employees and they keep the facility as neat and clean as possible. Great location in a historic portion of Virginia. Lots of history to explore.

“Nice Lobby”

The lobby was nice but that's about all. The beds were old and sagging, very uncomfortable. Electrical outlets looked like they were even older, one look as if it had started an electrical fire at some point. Again, the beds were the worst, they should've been replaced 15 years ago. There was a hole in one of the blankets and one of the beds wasn't even clean.

“stank”

Our room stank greatly as soon as we opened the door and walked in. It smelled like pet urine was in the carpet. The faucet handle fell off in the shower, shower curtain was moldy and about 10 flies were also in the shower. Gross!!!

“On the way south”

This was a good place to stop on the way south. Access was easy and the breakfast was adaquate. the room was fairly clean and the guests were quiet. There was water damage on the ceiling. The grounds were attractive and the staff were polite and kind.

“Very reasonalbe and comfortable. Front has great view of valley.”

Features and quality as good as any other hotel in New Market, but it is better priced and offers a continental breakfast and a view.

“What happened?”

We stayed at this hotel about 6 months ago and were completely satisfied with all aspects of the facility. This visit was a disappointment on several levels. The electric outlet at the vanity did not work properly - it kept tripping when the hair dryer was in use and was almost impossible to reset. The carpet was filthy around the edges of the room. The quality of the continental breakfast was not as good as the previous visit.

“Good place for a stop over.”

Nice place. A little hard to find. I would stay again.

“Location, location, location!”

Room had a smell, the bedding smelled, and the room is in serious need of updating, but it was clean. If they upgraded the price would go up and there were other more expensive options available nearby. Price and location was exactly what I needed.
