Why?Posted Aug 19, 2014
Why not paint, change carpets, update everything ? It is the oldest place I've stayed in - for a long time. Lobby is nice but that was it. Old carpet, chipped paint- etc

Go elsewhere if you canPosted Jul 20, 2014
Fridge did not work: bed was very spongy and uncomfortable. Old, dingy decorations and carpet. The floor of the bathtub was dirty. One of the lights did not work. The TV stations listed in the directory were not matched up with the ones on the TV; most did not work at all.

Very Nice Hotel. Very courteous and helpful staff. The location is just perfect and just on the exit.

A good value for the money.Posted Jun 30, 2014
The hotel was packed our two nights there and there was a car alarm going off right outside our door at 3AM. I called the front desk and they ran down the owner and woke them to shut it off. It was too late to save our nights sleep but I was impressed at the staff member's action. The facilities are what they are and a good value for the money in a very convenient location for many things to see and do near Shenandoah National Park, Luray Caverns, Skyline Drive and throughout the Shenandoah Valley.

Find someplace else to stay!Posted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The room need a definite overhaul with new curtains that aren't dry rotted. Plus, new air conditioning units need to be placed in the rooms.
Location: Lots to do in the Shenandoah Valley. Just stay out of this room.
Don't get me wrong, the staff were GREAT. However, the hotel room was terrible. The curtains were dry rotted. The beds were small and the air conditioner ran so loud and so hard that it shook the windows. We had to stuff the windows with paper to muffle the noise, and the air conditioner ran so hard that it rattled the bottles that we had on the bathroom sink that was clear across the room. The pool had bird poop in it and the only really nice area of the hotel was the front lobby. Will not stay there again.

Needs makeoverPosted Jun 11, 2014
Motel may be in the plans for a remake in several areas but fir now it has problems. Terrible TV reception and lack of stations, could not connect with internet, room is dated, and no courtesy breakfast. Staff was nice but not responsible for the condition of the motel. I rate them high.

Not the best qualityPosted Jun 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
We have stayed at this quality hotel several times and it has really gone down hill. We had no hot water and no complimentary breakfast is offered. We will chose some where else to stay from now on.

Leaving this feedback so both prospective guest and management can benefit. The room was neat but had bad odor. The Air Conditioner was making noise and not working properly. When the problem was reported, no immediate action was taken. Then stoped by at the reception to explain the issue again and they agreed to move to another room (which was better but had Outdated Television, uncomfortable beds, pillows were lumpy and flat). These are basic things which should be checked before the guest check-in. Overall did not had a quality stay...

From a long-time customerPosted May 27, 2014
Pros: Convenient. location, good price. Nice towels!
Cons: The drapes and carpet are definitely in need of replacement, and the door to the parking lot was a bit finicky about accepting the key card.
Location: Convenient to various caves, and some interesting shopping.
This has been my hotel for the decades I've been coming to New Market for an annual family reunion. It's showing its age -- But it's clean and convenient, and the staff is always warm and friendly.
