Location: Short drive to Dublin or take the train in as we did.
Rooms were very clean and ready on arrival. Very warm welcome by staff. Breakfast was excellent with lots to choose from for all tastes.

Small and in need of renovationPosted Aug 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
The place was adequate, but there were lots of small problems. We had a 2 bedroom triple room but the room we got was very small, only one bedroom with a single and a queen bed. There was one small chair in the room, totally inappropriate to advertise it as suitable for 3. The bathroom was very small and a bit dank with a standing shower with some mold. The breakfast was very expensive, so we skipped it, but the employees were very nice. The wifi was very, very slow: no skype, no youtube, and many webpages' functionality was reduced.

Wonderful B&B, evrything was first rate, rooms general areas and service. The food was beautiful and very well presented, they even took the trouble to present the childrens breakfasts with colour coordinated umbrellas.Michael and Anne were really lovely and very helpful. We cannot recomment thid B&B highley enough. Also must add what a beautiful house it was.

Nice and peaceful!Posted Jun 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
Everything was wonderful, except the fact that the beds could be a little better and the heater in our room did not work. I still will consider to stay there next time I come to the Dublin area.

Nice place out in the countrysidePosted Jun 18, 2013
The hotel has its own taxi driver. Very convenient given how far away the station is. Equally convenient is that he will put the taxi fare on the hotel bill; saves looking for coins after a day in Dublin. Be warned that some online directions take you to a road sign three km from the hotel, not to the hotel itself. The walk from the station is not just ten minutes but more like 30. Friendly staff, nice facilities. We only stayed here because every place in Dublin was booked with concertgoers. It turned out to be good luck after all.

We seemed to be the only guests staying in the place and to be frank I have never been as cold in a Guest House in my life. We arrived on a chilly evening and it was evident that the radiator in our room had only been switched on. We had to get into bed to keep warm. At breakfast, next morning the chill continued. We were the only guests in a large dining room and sat shivering in the corner. The breakfast was good and the owner appeared friendly but this did not compensate for the lack of heat. Obviously this guest house is trying to ride out the recession by economising on its fuel bills.

Lovely areaPosted Jul 10, 2012 on Hotels.com
Hillview is a brill family run b&b. Lovely location just outside of skerries, and minutes away from Dublin. Gives you the chance to take it the Irish country side, yet venture into the city with very little hassle. Rooms are fantastic, with good bathroom. Breakfast is cooked to perfection, and the breakfast room looks over the gardens. Nice little bar area also, so you can chill out with a few drinks without having to get a taxi into skerries. Saying that, taxi to skerries was only €10 so nothing to complain about. Plenty of free parking. The all round ideal package, if I'm near that way again I'll be staying again for sure. Thanks very much to those who run it!
