Decent hotel. Would not return.

Posted Nov 16, 2014
This hotel was decent. The hotel staff were friendly but our room wasn't too clean. The tub was kinda grudgy and there was also make up on one of our pillows. Additionally, I think I got bite buy something at the hotel because when i work from my night there, I had a large itchy bite probably from a spider or something. Overall, I would not return to this place but it was cheap so I guess you get what you pay for.

Pros: near the highway
Cons: add breakfast, upgrade to queen beds..
room is new, but very basic. beds are VERY small (we had 2 full beds for family of 4) it was uncomfortable... no breakfast. the good: near the highway, plenty of parking.

Good place but GPS failed

We booked this hote online as a stopping point on our way to the US boat show in Annapolis, MD. Next to a shopping plaza with a restaurant, it was great for our trip. Noteworthy, however, Tomtom on our iPad got it wrong and sent us to N Hamilton st instead of S Hamilton st.

Nice hotel at a reasonable price.

The hotel was in a very nice area, it was clean and comfortable, the staff was nice and the price was excellent. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

Nothing special, but if you need a clean room, not far from the highway, this is a good choice.

Nice Room

Cons: Install hair dryers
But, there is no hair dryer. No one expects to pack a hair dryer these days. In order to get a hair dryer at a Red Roof Inn, you must "upgrade", ie pay more.. This is really not bright on their part. For a $10 hair dryer, I would have rated this even higher, but the room was very nice.

Awful experience

Pros: Composed front desk staff were professional under fire
Cons: Check-in system and cleaning staff, also critter control- our room had ants
Location: Near strip-mall shopping and a gas station
We desperately needed to check in quickly, as we were running late for an event... unfortunately we were met with the worst check-in experience we've ever had. The computers were down, and were not allowing the staff to check guests in. Once they finally got the system up and running (20 minutes and a long line of irritated people later) every guest ahead of me in line came back to the desk minutes after "checking-in" to report that their key card didn't work and/or the room had not been cleaned since the last visitors... not cleaned as in beds unmade, towels on floor, TV blaring... At this point some of the desk staff left to run around peering in all the rooms to determine what other rooms had been skipped by the negligent cleaning staff. By the time we checked-in we luckily arrived at our room at the same moment one of the staff was passing by peeing into the window- she was able to help us to get the key card to work. I will say this, the desk staff, though short-handed and dealing with reams of openly irritated guests, maintained composure and were completely professional throughout this ordeal. It was clear to me that the problems were the fault of a neglectful upper management in hiring such disrespectful cleaning staff, and in failing to better monitor their technology.

Pros: We liked the wooden floor.
When we arrived at 10:30 PM we found out that the hotel was overbooked and they did'nt have our room which we had reserved, already paid for and a late arrival confirmed. We did not accept that. Then Cris at the check-in was very helpful and said that he will make sure that we will get a room. After waiting patiently for 20 min, we finally were able to go to our room.
