We stayed 2 nights in this modern luxury hotel located in the small resort town of Clervaux while on vacation. The suite was beautifully furnished, clean, modern and HUGE. We were there in the "off" season so there were not many guests in the other suites. Staff was friendly, but we had some trouble with communication since we speak no french. One would hope that an International Hotel would do a bit better with staff fluent in several other languages. The complete facilities included a large pool, spa, massage room and a choice of two dining rooms. A delicious breakfast buffet was part of the package each morning. Overall it's an outstanding place to stay.

Super hotel, interesting layout inside with corridors and stairs leading off in different directions. Loved the bar, service first rate and the food in the restaurant was superb. Especially liked the barman who was able to cope with many tables at once and mixed a very good cocktail.
Room a little small but very comfortable, the bathroom on the other hand was large and very modern.
Plenty to see and do in the surrounding area.

"Plenty of space at reasonable cost for Luxembourg"
Well, I had read a few reviews on this hotel before I made the booking. Reaction of other fellow travelers was lukewarm at best, so I was not at all prepared for what I was confronted with after arriving.
The "room" was simply superb. The hotel is kind of non-conform, it cannot be compared with international chains in ANY respect. The service was NOT professional, that's for sure. Strassen is a sleepy hollow were you indeed cannot do anything, I do not deny it.
BUT for a price that would barely buy you 100 sqft of a boring "room" in Luxembourg centre or Kirchberg, in l'Olivier you will get a three storey apartment that contains: (on the base floor) sitting room, with dining area, separate kitchenette, guest bath room, AND a huge terrace with views open in three directions including woodlands and Luxembourg centre (one view opens into the backyard of a logistics firm, which is less cool, but no real harm). Middle floor holds a comfortable bedroom with plenty of unpacking space including cupboards, drawers, clothes racks etc. (actually the first hotel ever where I was able to comfortably unpack my full complement of trousers, jackets, ties, shirts, AND hiking gear etc.). The upper floor holds a small dressing room with another clothes rack that works as an antechambre for a huge bathroom with a large tube, hair dryer and washing machine.. The total area of the apartment must have been well over 600 sq ft, maybe close to 1000 including the terrace.
I will return for sure..

This was a good basic hotel for a business stay. The location is excellent. No internet access in the rooms but they had free terminals on each floor and I used their free wireless access in the lobby a lot. Free espresso in the lobby was nice. My plan included breakfasts - which were great. No room service but the restaurant was very good.

Lovely spacious room, we had a superior with a jet bath, we've never been so clean.
Food was reasonable, very tasty, although slightly overcooked. Service was slow, but good nonetheless.
Quite remote location , but able to walk to train station, about 2 miles on reasonably flat paths. Plenty of walks in the area. By the river, so can be reasonably flat, although plenty of hills also if so inclined.
Could hear owls at night.
