“Good Hotel”

This was a nice hotel that I would stay at again. The room was clean and comfortable and just across the street from the train station. It takes about 10 minutes to get the center of the town and you get to see some nice sights as you're crossing a bridge.

“Luxembourg City Hotel”

I will come back to this hotel again for my next business trip. A bit let down by the breakfast, not much variety, the hot food is not being top-up.

A very nice hotel with a large choice buffet breakfast, including cooked food and may types of tea and coffee. The bar has a selection of 17 malt whiskies - up to 30 year olds. Service was very efficient, prompt but unobtrusive.

I was so pleasantly surprised with this hotel. It was so conveniently located and reasonably priced so I figured it might be lacking some quality but it was very cozy. The rooms are well laid out and the bathroom was very nice (for a small utilitarian suite). The free internet was a nice plus as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

“Good Basic Hotel”

This is a good basic hotel very near the train station. It does not offer much frills, but it is a good value for the money. It takes 10 to 15 minutes to walk to the older part of the city with the main shopping area.

“Good value stay in luxembourg”

We stayed for one night at the City Hotel on our way back from a trip across Europe. The receptionist was very helpful and pleasant and spoke good English. We had a triple room as our son was sharing with us. The room was fairly spacious, and the extra bed was in a partially separated area, unlike some other hotel where they are crammed in tightly. The room was nicely decorated,very clean and well-appointed. We had a room on the top floor which was not air conditioned. It was a little warm at night, and they did provide a fan, but proper air conditioning would have been better. The parking to drop off our luggage was difficult. There were very few parking spaces outside the hotel, so we had to park illegally in a disabled space to offload. The hotel has reserved spaces in a car park a few blocks away, which you have to pay extra for. The hotel is very near the railway station, and a few minutes walk from the old town. Overall it was a comfortable place to stay and good value for the price we paid.

“Pleasant Stay”

Very pleasant hotel within walking distance from train station (approx. 10 min walking from old town). Staff speaks English, French and German, possibly more.

“Not what I would consider a 4 star hotel.”

The reception staff was helpful and spoke English well, the room was not too cramped, and the location was decent (close to the train station and only about 10 minute walk to downtown). That is where the good ends. The room had a weird stone floor with a couple of very-stain floor rugs on the sides of the bed. There was no air conditioning, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a fan in the room. Unfortunately, the fan was about 20 years old and made random, and very loud, clunking noises. That made it difficult to fall asleep. The room also included breakfast. Included breakfast's are never that good, bit this was particularly bad. It was from 7-11am, and they stopped refilling things by 9:45. 10:45, even 10:30 I could understand, but this was ridiculous. That meant we had to fight with other guests for the scraps that were left. And, while the internet was free, it was like dial-up speeds. Overall, this was not horrible for the price,but I would pay a little more for a better experience next time.
