Nice hotel in the city centre

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Cons: Tea and coffee making facilities were not there. We discovered that you have to ask for it and then pay 10 euros.
Pleasant experience with very helpful and polite staff

Perfect location for visiting an exquisite city

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Great restaurant(s) and good leisure facilities. Attentive staff - and a great free shuttle transfer to/from the airport.
Cons: Not much
Location: See above
Who in their right mind goes to Luxembourg for a weekend? Anyone who wants to visit a charming and totally human-scale city!! The airport is 15 minutes from the City centre. Nowhere is more than 10 minutes walk from anywhere. There are no crowds and no queues - which is ridiculous when you consider the quality of the offering: great museums (where the buildings are as interesting as the contents), deep tree-lined gorges and amazing bridges, quiet suburbs and some delightful restaurants. Buy a 'Luxembourg Card' and, unlike the rip-off that these things are elsewhere, you get free entry to museums and free train and bus travel in the whole COUNTRY for €19 for 2 days. You need to be prepared to do a bit of pre-visit research and to leap on strange trains and buses to strange destinations but I defy anyone not to enjoy Luxembourg.

We had requested a nonsmoking room but were given a smoking room initially. The hotel knew our luggage was lost for days but never offered a toilet kit until the airline told us to request it from the concierge, which they then gave us only after asking for it. Trash just under the bed when we checked in was never picked up in 3 days. Convenient location!

Good Position and Nice Pool

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: Position and reasonable comfort.
Cons: Better tea making in rooms
Location: Right by the pretty centre of town - walking in was lovely and quick
We had 2 rooms for a family weekend. The best feature of this hotel is its proximity to the centre - yoiu can amble into the pleasant heart of town very easily - important for our 81 year old mother. You don't want to be on the other side of the gorge or out in Kirchberg. The rooms were slightly business focussed but comfortable. The people were nice (although the concierge was pushing the hotel restaurant a bit too much). We ate breakfast in town - much cheaper and more atmospheric. The pool was a good extra - not huge but pleasant and the spa was also good.

Just OK for a 5 Star Hotel

Posted Jun 3, 2014
Pros: Location
We stayed here for one Saturday night on our city break. The hotel facilities were good and I would say probably 5 star but the experience was not. The location is excellent, very central without being too close to the night life. Staff were friendly enough (some more then others) but there seemed to be something missing that did not make you feel like you were valued as a customer. We had arrived the day of the Luxembourg Marathon and so the hotel was very busy and we could not check in before the allocated time. The concierge staff were very friendly. They have a courtesy bus from the airport so make sure you book this beforehand. Overall we had a fabulous time in Luxembourg.

Great hotel, very near the centre of the city.

Posted Jun 2, 2014
Pros: Very friendly staff
Location: exploring the city on foot, shopping, eating out.
Great hotel, very near the centre of the city (5 minutes walk to the main square with bars, restaurants and shops). Ideal base to explore the city, everywhere easily accessible on foot. 5 mins walk from bus stop from the airport (bus 9 or 16). Staff very friendly and eager to help. Swimming pool is small but lovely, and at some times you can get it to yourself.
