Speaking Spanish in Egypt

Posted Jun 16, 2010
By far, a riverboat cruise of the Nile is the way to see ancient Egypt. M/S Amarco was a great way to see the Nile, with one exception. We didn’t speak Spanish. Having traveled a lot, I knew that different hotels cater to different nationalities of tourists. M/S Amarco was a first rate hotel that catered to tourists from Spain. Once the hotel realized we were English speaking tourists, they went out of their way to accommodate us by: providing a private tour guide to each of the sites, English menus, and English itinerary. If you speak Spanish, I highly recommend the M/S Amarco. If you don’t speak Spanish, but enjoy international cultures, then the M/S Amarco is the boat for you. Note: All Nile riverboats have a “fancy dress” party for at least one night of the cruise. This means dressing up in local clothing that can be purchased on the boat or a different tour sites.
