Love Lviv Posted Oct 2, 2011
The Eurohotel, which does not appear in the Bradt guide to the Ukraine, was recommended to me by a local tour guide that I intended to use. This hotel is a well-equipped, modern hotel in a nice residential/academic neighbourhood, just 10 minutes walk from the central area of Lviv. The staff are most friendly and helpful. The hotel has a small restaurant, although it has only a limited menu. There are a few minor drawbacks: 1. our double room was a bit on the small size, though adequate. [But all the equipment was modern, tasteful and well-maintained.] 2. there is free WiFi. But it did have some problems. On the 4th floor, one could easily connect into the non-secure system, but not the secure version; but neither version could be accessed on the 6th floor. I had to use the lobby to get the secure system - but from there, the connection was very fast. 3. the buffet breakfast was fine in quality, but oriented largely to Ukrainian tastes, not international. Otherwise, I would thoroughly recommend, especially as it gives excellent value.
