We are glad to see you in our hotel Irena Apartments. The building has been just renewed and renovated with preservation of architecture and secession style which was typical in the end of the Show more 19th century. A harmonious combination of highly qualified service- home comfort and exquisite taste gives the apartments a unique style.Having stayed at us- you will feel the comfort which is provided for you by the interior of our rooms- sustained style that is typical for those times. There are 14 double apartments with kitchen- 4 double rooms and 9 single rooms in the building. All our rooms are well equipped- has stylish design and modern furniture. We give the opportunity for the family to stay in coupled rooms where the children will be under the parents control- but at the same time will sleep in the other room.The major part of apartments is consisted of the entrance hall and the room. “A real find in Lviv”

This hotel was just perfect for us. Beautiful, well-appointed, new rooms. Ours had separate area for eating; refrigerator etc. We had a balcony and several windows looking out on the street. Neighborhood was quiet although a bit run down. We were close to the train station but not too close. We were about a mile from the center of town. Since we like to walk this was not a problem. (There was a tram into town just three blocks away.) The breakfast was excellent --lots of selections and included in the room price. They had a nice bar and I think offered small meals in the evening. We would recommend this hotel highly and definitely would stay there again when we return to Lviv. Our only criticism was that it would have been helpful if the staff spoke a bit more English.

Area recommendations

We liked this area because it was away from the hustle and bustle of the center. We like walking so walking into the center or around our neighborhood was enjoyable. If, however, you want to be where the "action' is, you would prefer the center.

Getting there

One problem is that streets are marked only in the Ukranian alphabet; sometimes also in English alphabet. The address of our hotel was written to us as Starozhenskaya St but we couldn't find it---the correct name is Storozhenko St. It is helpful to know the Russian letters so you can read signs. Only in the center of town and amongst young people is there English spoken. You can take a taxi or a small minibus or a regular bus from the airport to the hotel.

Dining

Most restaurants are in the center of town. We found a few in the area we were in but not many.
