Love was wonderful at front desk. The room however had no working TV or clock. David came up to the room and tried to no avail. Was very disappointing. I slept well but didn’t get to enjoy all the amenities promised. Not Ok with that.

Office staff barely said five words to me during the entire check-in process. Even though there was barely anyone else staying at the hotel, our room was in the farthest building on the second floor. Our non-smoking room smelled like stale smoke and the TV had no cable.

I had reserved two rooms. One was good- clean and ready for our arrival. The other smelled horribly of smoke. We tried 4 other rooms before finding one that had an acceptable amount of smoke smell. After moving our items in, the A/C did not work. We finally found a room that did not have a smell and had A/C in working order about 90 minutes after original check-in. If it is on a busy weekend in Lynchburg, be warned that you may have issues.

Starting with the positive: the sheets are great. The breakfast was substantial. The staff was nice. The negative: This poor property is literally falling apart. Our sink faucet was broken. The door frame to the bathroom was cracked, which made the latch loose and rattly. The TV stand was in pieces across the back ledge. The TV itself was a mess. The microwave didn’t work. The alarm clock was plugged into an outlet that turned on and off when you flipped a light switch (and, of course, had no backup battery in it). It reeked of smoke from old carpet. There weren’t enough outlets for all the appliances, lights, TV. And the cords and outlets were fully exposed, so if you have toddlers or babies, you’d have to rearrange some furniture to keep them safe.

Honestly the only thing positive about this location was the staff. The gentleman behind the counter was excellent The bathroom was absolutely filthy and the remainder of the room was just okay. The property is located in a very sketchy area and is extremely noisy. Do yourself a favor and give this place a wide berth

The ONLY thing that I liked was how easy it was to get to Liberty University. Our room smelled like smoke.YUCK! The breakfast(ha ha) was out of waffle mix, coffee,juice and fruit. What a joke! Wi Fi didn't work. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

The staff were friendly, and the room was clean, but overall the property is in need of renovation. Although the room was clean, the curtains were off track, one chair was broken, the other chair was coming apart, our phone did not work, and there was no hair dryer. The area is extremely noisy, and the rooms are outside rooms at a motel in a high traffic area. The pictures of this property do not accurately represent it.

Think motel not hotel
This was a disappointment to us. Our first room given to us was nasty. We requested a different room, and it was better, but still not great. Both rooms had strange smells. Like a public bathroom, but the first had the added bonus of smoke. The ice machine in our building didn't work. The "full breakfast" that the website mentioned is more like a deluxe continental. We realized that we needed to adjust our expectations. So go into it thinking Motel 6 or Super 8 and you'll be fine.

The bed was comfortable and the shower had good water pressure, but there were tears in the curtains and wall paper, holes in the bathroom door, toilet seat had worn spots, dirty spots on the chair and wall, and messed up ceiling tiles. The breakfast hours start later on the weekends, so we never got to try it since we had to leave each morning by 7am. They say you get what you pay for, but in this case, I think I may have overpaid.

It was ideal in proximity to the locations we needed to get to. Cobwebs on ceiling. Phone on floor and could not be moved. Several furniture items were askew. Generally this room needed work.

Room walls were dirty, and needed paint. Bathtub had cigarette burns and chipped walls. Could hear traffic through door because it was not sealed. Bed linens and towels were clean. Carpet and tile were new and clean.

The staff were very nice but had to tolerate a lot of irate customers, They never were ugly but always tried to help. One housekeeping staff was super helpful when we were having a hard time finding a room that did not smell like smoke or was very dirty. We waited for him to finish cleaning a room and then we moved in. The sheets were stained and hairy so we asked for clean sheets and he went and got them for us. I would suggest to owners to either upgrade their rooms and washing machines and dryers to not leave black spots on the floors and sheets. I believe because they have long term construction workers staying here this has left the rooms very dirty. If they want to house these workers they need to put other guests away from them in the other sections. If you have to use this section when big events come to town you should not charge $154 a night for dirty sheets, filthy floors and bathrooms that don't feel usable.

Check-in: 3 groups ahead of me, I waited in line 15-20 minutes. Walked in room: I IMMEDIATELY wanted to turn around. Instead, I looked up other hotels in the area. Ran out of time and/or not in my budget, so I was stuck there. Smell: I actually asked to smell someone else’s room to see if it was just mine or if it was the whole place. No smoking room? BS. If it wasn’t used for smoking, someone must have just left their ash trays. I turned fan on- no difference. Purchased air freshener- could not hide it for long. Some smells you just get used to- this one was not. Even when I woke up in the middle of the night, the smell was so overwhelming. Trash behind the head board, refrigerator froze my drink, toilet ran intermittently and splashed seat when flushed, black line through tv screen, multiple visible stains on chair- I didn’t even lay my belongings on it. There were enough towels in the room that I could line a path over the carpet from bathroom to bed. I checked for bed bugs. Bed was comfortable. Just the smell… Breakfast- waited in line long enough to check it out and say no thank you. And it’s not a hotel- it’s a motel. I must have missed this in the description but even when I went back to check, I did not see this key detail that would have been a hard no to begin with.
