All looked nice but the beds were hard. The first night we tossed and turned. Woke up sore. My husband told the front desk about it and at his request, changed us to a room with a king size bed. (Which I thought I had signed up for). It was better but still hard. We had a busy weekend and really needed our rest. Because of your name, I KNEW it would be the place to stay. I don't think I will be recommending this Hilton, as nice as it was, you've got to be able to sleep.

Great StayPosted Jan 30, 2015
Location: Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby.
The overall hotel appearance was excellent. Our room clean, and quiet. We had room service for dinner, it was brought in a timely manner and really good!

Expected better of a Hilton branded hotelPosted Jan 19, 2015
Pros: Staff was overall very nice.
Cons: Better communication about pool, better room prep.
Location: Head to downtown/riverfront Lynchburg and check out Amazement Square if you have kids, eat at the Depot, and get chocolate at Cao.
We booked this hotel specifically because it listed a pool. However the pool was closed, but this was not communicated to us upon check in - we didn't find out until the next morning when we were ready to go swim. The front desk told us there was a sign we should have seen when we checked in regarding this (obviously, we didn't see it). By 10:30am the pool was "cloudy and likely to be cold, but totally okay to swim in" ... no thanks. They comped our breakfast, but that doesn't do much for two children who were really, really looking forward to the indoor pool. Additionally, the room was not well-prepared for us: one roll of TP was completely out (just an empty brown tube), the other was very thin. There were not enough towels to have one per guest, and there were no extra pillows nor blankets in the closet. In fact, when we talked to the staff, they were "out of extra blankets for the night". They did bring an extra comforter cover. Thankfully though they were able to get us more TP! The entertainment center/dresser shelving was noticeably dusty, and the heat was very loud and cycled on/off too frequently, interrupting sleep. One redeeming thing is that the bed/mattress was very comfortable.

Nice hotel close to Liberty University.Posted Jan 2, 2015
This has been my 2nd year staying at this hotel. We go to Lynchburg, to see Winterfest in December. This is such an excellent hotel, staff very friendly, and free shuttle to/from airport and vicinity. Lynchburg is such a nice location.

Nice hotel but could and should be betterPosted Dec 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
Above average hotel with a beautiful lobby. Rooms are less attractive than you'd expect after walking through the entrance. Staff is friendly but you can tell from background conversations and slowness to respond to matters like spills on the floor that the hotel is not focused on service excellent. I blame the developers for the mundane rooms and the manager for the uninpired service.

Excellent stay in LynchburgPosted Nov 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
Room was very quiet, clean, comfortable and well-appointed. Hotel is very close to Liberty U. Only sound all night was a train passing by the area. Breakfast is optional cost, but offers a very good selection. Staff are friendly and helpful. Many restaurants are nearby, and location is convenient to major routes. Overall it was an excellent stay.

Holiday Inn who?!!!Posted Nov 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
This was my first time at a Hilton Garden Inn and it won't be my last. Having been a Holiday Inn Club person for years, I'm thinking I should rethink that. Beautiful lobby, outstanding and efficient staff both at the front desk, restaurant, bar and cleaning staff. Always a smile and a greeting. The room was a suite and the very clean, very well done and had a bed that I wanted to load up and take home with me. Had dinner which was fantastic and the restaurant prices were the same as room service. Very pleased and would highly recommend.
