Staff were exceptional, both on reception and in the bar area. Nothing was too much trouble and they were informative about what to do / where to go, as well as the best transport options.

Unique, boutique style hotel. Great location! Right in the heart of everything - shopping, food, everything. Our room was on the fourth floor. Lovely view across the city. Surprisingly quiet.

Lovely, tastefully renovated hotel with marvelous employees who provided genuine, warm service at every contact. Location is ideal with walking access to 50 great restaurants and all of Lyon's sights

Wonderful stay. Front desk staff super helpful and accommodating. Sebastian was the best. So was Laura. Hotel is old world and charming but rooms are updated and large by European standards. Bed was very comfortable. Amazing and well working very old elevator that has been refurbished…just adds to the charm of the hotel. Location was convenient to everything… close to shopping, restaurants (try Rue Merciere nearby for many good choices). We even caught a great show at Hot Club Lyon (it’s not what you think; it’s a jazz venue in a “cave”!) which was a short walk to the hotel. We walked to almost all our destinations but if they were too far or we were tired we used Uber which was reliable and reasonable.

Our first day in Lyon and at this hotel turned out to be the hottest day on record for Lyon at over 106.5 degrees. We were met at the desk by Julian (hope this is his name) tall young man with dark curly hair. We arrived early and our room wasn't ready but Julian put a rush on the cleaning of our room, locked our bags in a safe room and offered to call us when our room was ready. Every time we had a question or need, Julian was there to help. There was also a young man in the bar area that went above and beyond what we are used to. The night of the hottest day, we were exhausted and hungry. The meal he brought up was not only very good but he took the time to make the display on the tray special. The room had the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in at a hotel. The bathroom was very nice. We felt very safe here as well, not only inside but outside as well. It is conveniently located for walking around the city. Special thanks to Julian for everything and the welcome for two middle age, southern US ladies that struggle with French but love France. :) You are an awesome representative for your hotel.

This was a wonderful hotel. The staff was excellent. However, in spite of my high ratings, our stay was not without a couple of hiccups. First, the handles on the armoire and door to the facilities were both broken. Management quickly took care of the problems. Then on the second day there was no hot water until the afternoon. Nevertheless, I would rebook this hotel and hope everything was perfect the next time.

The hotel was located at the pedestrian only shopping area. There were lots of boutique stores nearby & metro. The "old town" was about 15 miniuted away across pedestrian bridge. The hotel room was bigger than expected. The room was clean. The front desk was efficient & helpgul.

Perfect location in Lyon
Great location, clean and quiet room with good double glazing. Shower floor very slippery with no grab rail. Didn’t find the rubber non stick mat till day 2 as it was rolled up at the back of the shelf under the sink. Very nice helpful front desk staff and bell hop.

Location is 10/10, it is a 130 years old building well maintained. Staff was very help-full. Breakfast is continental meaning half full buffet but was very good choices.

Thé hôtel is well placed in the city. It is close to a lot of the shopping areas and restaurants. Perfectly situated between the two main rivers that separate old town and the main city center. I would definitely recommend staying here if you come to Lyon.

An absolute gem
We stayed in a Junior Suite and I highly recommend it. Our three windows opened up on to the square below, with its fountain and its view of the Basilica on the hill and it was just magical. The whole hotel has an modernized 1920s decor...very chic, very cool. Room was well-appointed, fixtures are modern, everything was spotless. Service was superb, even by European standards (US hotel service is largely garbage unless you're staying at 5-star places). The food is supplied by a restaurant in the same building, so dining hours are a little limited, but we did have dinner in our room once and the food was very good. This is now our "spot" when we go to Lyon. Perfect location, too. A short walk to Vieux Lyon and many attractions, good public transit access, nearby pharmacy, grocery store, and a zillion cafes and restaurants. I could spend months here.
