Great hotel, lovely views, fab spa

Posted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: Outdoor spa area
We arrived to a warm welcome and a very comfortable room with a lovely view over the river. The outside jacuzzi pools were fab and we spent a lovely couple of hours chilling out in the spa area. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a good choice of food and good coffee. Overall a great stay for a great price.

Lovely hotel, fantastic facilities

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Very Family Friendly, Very comfy rooms, and beds, lovely breakfast, Spa staff very welcoming too, secure parking.
Cons: Parking price a little steep. The underground car park has great access to the main hotel block, not the new. The indoor pool was closed.
Location: The hotel is out of the city centre which was great for us. A short drive to Macdonalds, which was great for our fussy eater 3 year old for a treat.
Found the hotel, whilst we were staying in Spain. As we have two little children (aged 3 and 1), we wanted a hotel for a one night stop over on the way to Disneyland in Paris. Only wished we stayed longer. All the staff we met were lovely. The outside pool is a great size, though was a little cold for our one year old, which is of course to be expected, the lifeguard was so kind, she noticed he was a little cold and went and got him a towel so I could wrap him in it whilst still playing with the three year old in the paddling pool. There was a big thunder storm whilst we were staying at the hotel, and you could hear this from the room, but we couldn't hear anything else. You do have to pay extra for the underground parking (currently 15 Euros a night), which was a little steep, but reassuring that our car was secure, as it had all our things in it for our road trip. We would definitely stay here again if we are driving from England to Spain in the future.

Excellent facilities but let down by restaurant

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: One bedroom suite.
Cons: Restaurant.
Location: Too far away from centre, no restaurants in the vicinity.
We stayed in a one bedroom apartment in the new building for ten days. Enough space for a family of four. Kitchenette was good but basic and enabled us to avoid the hotel restaurant that was poor. Too many flies flying around the restaurant, sloppy service, poor quality by French standards and high prices made it not worthwhile.

Nice hotel on the river bank.

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: The new building has excellent facilities.
Cons: Hotel Restaurant.
Location: Not close to city centre but a good location nevertheless.
Stayed here for a week in the new building. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff very friendly but the housekeeping service is frequently erratic.

quiet area, great spot to reload the batteries

I found it quite convinient for my visit, as it was very close to the place of my business, the restaurant has good quality food and the servie is good. The pool is just the best to chill out and swim. the spa is pretty nice too, with an indoor pool good enoigh to swim and a circuit with jets outdoors with hot water. Can't reallt fault it. the only thing, if you are looking for a location near town where the restaurants and pups are, this might be a bit far, however the bus #40 runs every hour until 12am or so for 2euro. I would recomend it, and certainly is my place when I retun to Lyon, no doubt.

Hotel was nice enough with huge pool that was very nice. Location is a little ways from anything. Chief issue was the central air which they do not run during the day (!). Outside temps were mid-80s and the rooms were not far behind.

Nice hotel but too far to walk to sights.

The hotel was nice but the front desk people were not very helpful. They did not follow up with our request for spa massages and misinformed us about the bus schedule.

Beautiful pool

Posted Jul 13, 2013
Pros: Pleasant decor and resort-like atmosphere. Breakfast was great. Pool is huge.
Location: A short drive into the city and all that Lyon has to offer.
Spent two nights after being in Paris for several days. This place is NOT in the city proper and so has less walking access to shops and restaurants; making a car a must. Our teenagers spent the day at the pool. They were surprised to learn the bathing suit tops were optional for women. The breakfast was worth the price. Unfortunately couldn't walk down at the river due to construction.
