Good for overnight stay
Very comfortable, convenient and not far from main road when driving from North to South of France (or vice-versa). Good restaurant and excellent breakfast service.

Romantic weekend at Lyon
We decided to visit Lyon for the weekend. The hotel wasn’t far from a shopping mall, restaurants and other amenities. I recommend a car even so the parking areas are not free. The hotel was quite, not much noise at all in the area. The room was spacious, the shower as well and the bed was confortable. There was a kettle, tea, coffee and a bottle of water at our service when we arrived in the room. We were very pleased knowing that the price was reasonable. The lady at reception was very pleasant and the breakfast was very good. We will probably go back there again 😉

Good hotel, excellent breakfast.
Hotel and staff very welcoming. Great for a stop off or when visiting city (long walk to centre) best if you have a car. Lots of free parking on site. Excellent breakfast (even had bacon and eggs). Overall good value.

It was a business trip. Overall it wan't that great. We could not get any food on the first day. Not lunch, not dinner. No one even delivers in the area. Wifi was getting disconnected every 5 minutes. No exaggerations. It was impossible to do anything on that. Otherwise, things were just Ok. Rooms were basic, but clean. Tv was only French, I guess. Breakfast was basic.

This hotel was very comfor and clean.
We have been travelling to France for a number of years, and was delighted to stay in not one but two Kyriad hotels, they were clean, comfortable and a very welcoming addition to our journey, we hope to stay their again on our next holiday.

Simple and comfortable
From the outside the hotel looks a bit old... but the rooms are new, very comfortable. Considering the price per night, this is a great value. Town is VERY calm, like a small village in provence. Great walks. Plus points : Good service, comfortable room, nice shower, close to the city yet so calm. Minus points : Room service / other clients noise when passing in front of the room, no mini bar.

Breakfast disappointing, for nearly $50 euro for 2 people for 2 days. No croissants when we arrived, scrambled eggs out (it was replenished after we left!) very busy staff. Only one main light and power outlet. I'm not hard to please but I can't recommend.

Great clean hotel-excellent for travellers
The room was super clean, comfortable and modern. Breakfast was great, there's outdoor parking and although it looks like an 80s motel, it is very nice inside. Super close to the city centre and old city.

Just dont! avoid if you can
we were greeted by a very rude staff member who gave us a very unpleasant welcome. there was no internet in the room so i went again to the reception only to be told that it is not their problem. There was pieces of toilet paper on the bathroom floor in addition the shower had a lot of mold.

Great place for a short stay
We booked this room for one night on the way to another location. Room was very clean and the service was friendly and helpful. Room was small, but just fine for a quick stay. We decided to stay for breakfast although it was not included and it was very good.

I wasn't expecting much for the price but I was dissapointed. There was a large panel missing in the toilet, about 18 inches square exposing plumbing and electrical circuitry. The vent cover also fell off the wall in the shower. There are only a set of spiral stairs going up to the top floor where we stayed which made it awkward carrying up a larger bed. I wouldn't stay here again.

Great Hotel, 2 day stay on way to Spain, the room is small by American standards but it is perfect otherwise, great location but it helps if you have a car for seeing Lyon. Friendly personal, I will stay there again and highly recomend.

hotel is in nowhereland, needs all kind of repair
hotel was far from town and you have to drive about 15 min to reach the restaurants and shops. the hotel is under remodeling, and our room's toilet seat was broken. we called the manager to report the problem but they did not fix it for our 2 nits stayed. it said free WI-FI but it did not work during our stayed. the clerk told us they will fix it next day and they never did. and they don't have the map the area we stayed. without a GPS, you will get lost and don't know where to go. front desk lady was talking to her friend for long time while I was waiting to check in. the bed was not comfortable. only continent thing was parking just outside the room. it's like a motel in US.

We were assured that the hotel had a restaurant when we made our reservation. However, when we arrived for check-in, we were told that there was no restaurant. Then, when we arrived in our room and saw information for room service, we called and were told it was not available. Turns out either the restaurant was closed for vacation or the staff simply did not feel like doing their job.

Overall a good base for visiting Lyon
Our room was located in the first floor of the 'Kyriad 2' building around the corner from the reception. The hotel looks more like a motel - as a guest, you enter the room from a balcony type hallway, which means you will hear everyone returning to their room late at night. No elevator. Locking the door is necessary when leaving the room; our door kept opening by itself unless locked. We addressed this with the reception and were told that it was the case with all the rooms and that we should always lock the door using the key attached to the access card. Upon our return to the hotel in the evening, we found out that there were towels only for one person in the room, however, it was past 11:00 PM and the reception was already closed. The Wi-Fi also gave us a hard time, even though it seemed to work fine in the main building. Though comfortable, the bed was quite noisy. In our opinion the breakfast was not worth the extra charge and we had to repeatedly ask the waiter to replenish the cold buffet (eggs offered upon request). On the positive side, the hotel offers free parking and is within short walking distance from two different bus stops - you can get to the Perrache railway station in Lyon within 10 minutes by bus and the buses run until late at night. That makes Kyriad Lyon Sud Sainte Foy a good base for visiting Lyon, provided you find a good rate and are willing to compromise on your comfort.

No staff after 10pm, very inconvenient and unsafe
I had called the hotel right after making the reservation at approximately midnight 2 nights prior, the respondent was friendly and courteous however never mentioned the fact the front desk is supposed to close at 10pm. We arrived late in the evening at Lyon train station and proceeded to the hotel. Nowhere does it mention on the website or details about the hotel that their front desk checks themselves out (worse than a mom/pop or comfort inn) after 10pm. As a fellow hotel employee, it is surprising that there is not 1 person representing the hotel available to speak to after 10. We were unable to find the hotel for the longest time as the taxi driver had issues. We couldnt call the hotel for directions either. Once we arrived we took circles at the hotel and unable to check in since well no one was there. When I called to complain the next day, a female attendant mentioned that she had put our keys outside the door in the open and its our fault we could not find it. I tried fighting it with the bank however, they had my credit card info so they could charge me at a later date again. It was futile and I was helpless. Hotels.com was understanding in this situation and I would like to encourage anyone and everyone to avoid this hotel. Imagine a fire? A broken glass? An additional bed?

Excellent modern design hotel
Very lovely well thought out room. Small but efficient use of space. Nice quiet neighbourhood and Lyon centre was easily accessed by car. Recommend parking in underground parking and walk the city. Only negative was intermittent wifi.

Great place to stay but a little out of the way
Really enjoyed staying here. It was a little out of the way but was in a great neighbourhood. Not too difficult to get to if you come in by train to perrache station and take the bus. Very modern looking place. A bit out of the way and not many restaurants around if you get caught on an off day. Overall a good stay though.

The company keep the room prices fairly low to get you to book, however costs for eating and drinking on the premises are excessive. We were charged over €12 for half a litre of red wine from a box and another €12 for a mixed salad as the Restaurant was closed when we arrived at 9.30pm. Obviously this cost was only apparent when we came to check out. The room was clean and functional and the staff were pleasant although a little blunt when informing us both reception and the restaurant were closed. Breakfast is not included in the room price although the staff give the impression it is.

A great stay!
Although modular in style, the Kyriad Lyon is amazingly deceptive in its level of comfort. The staff, especially Nicholas, were extremely helpful and eager to please. The meals were excellent, and we enjoyed a very good stay.

nice hotel in old part of Lyons
This was booked as a stopover en route to Cap Ferrat and far exceeded our expectations. I had had a hip replacement 3 months previously and, when we arrived I was worried about the spiral staircase up to the room we had been given on 2nd floor. When I mentioned this to the very friendly and helpful receptionist she immediately moved us to disabled room on ground floor with added bonus of brilliant wet room! We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant next door ( run by hotel) and then a superb breakfast there the next morning (including cooked options)
