“Lovely hotel, centrally located”

I enjoyed staying at the hotel, it was well appointed, clean and quiet. It was centrally located, which was great for touristing in Lyon. As well, because of its close proximity the the train station, it had excellent connections to airport bus service.

“Love the Grand Perrache”

Great old world charming hotel. On the edge of the historic district, but worth the walk for the value and unique experience. The breakfast dining room was exquisite. The deluxe room was large, high ceilings, marble fireplace and French doors with views of the basilica. Great experience compared to staying in your typical sleek modern hotel and we're from Manhattan. Would go back – same hotel, same room.

“Very impressed”

Pleasantly surprised given some of the reviews I had read. Easy check-in, friendly staff, lovely spacious clean room and bathroom. Only downside is it is a fair walk from the closest Metro station station which is Vieux Port/Hotel de Ville. I didn't realise how far when I decided to walk from the Metro station to the hotel with my luggage. Probably should have taken a taxi from Gare St-Charles!! There is a bus (I think No 83) which runs past the hotel. Hotel recommended!

“Great hotel in a good location”

A bit of a nightmare to find on foot. Easiest access is to go to the second floor of railway station and go down the steps on the right. Apart from this initial glitch I was very impressed with the hotel. Views on one side overlook the railway station but this did not spoil my stay as the city is such a wonderful place I was hardly in the hotel. Service was very good and there is an all you can eat breakfast (although pricey).

“Luxury and convenience in Lyon”

Hotel is a former Chateaux, easy to find right next to the train station, check in effortless and the service throughout our stay excellent. Large room, elevator that works, air conditioning. We did not eat in the hotel but walked to neighborhood restaurants and joined the locals. We would stay there again.

“Charm in the Heart of Lyon!!!!!!!”

I stayed in 3 different rooms at this hotel during my trip to France. This hotel really was very charming. Its location near the train, tramway, buses, and taxis was fabulous. The rooms are large by European standards and well appointed. The rooms have comfortable sitting areas and good sized closets. Staff were very helpful and friendly. They helped us by tour planning, recommending places to see, and storing our luggage between stays when we went to south of France. There is a cozy little bar at the hotel where we ended each evening. Truly a wonderful experience!!!!!!!!!!!

“Very satisfied.”

I very much enjoyed my stay. I walked down the river to the old town and also up the hill above the old town for a view over Lyon. I would return to this hotel if I ever return to Lyon. It was a good value for the money. The room was clean and I felt the hotel and the surroundings were safe. They also allowed my dog for a small fee. I actually wish I had stayed there longer.

“Nice place to stay in Lyon”

Nice hotel, built in 1905 but well kept. Room was on a fifth floor, it was clean and huge. Hotel is located right at the train station and a short walk to restorants and old part of the city. Highly recommended.

“Great Spot for a Lyon Visit”

An older hotel, but clean and nice people. Being next the city's transit hub with axis to the Metro and the TGV was great.
