Property does not demonstrate the caliber of a 4 star establishment. Staff lacks hospitality skills and compassion. Check-out time was posted at 12 Noon, however, housekeeping keeps badgering guests at 9am, 10am and 11am to ensure we have vacated which was extremely intrusive especially when we were getting ready to check-out. I answered the door once and the housekeeping lady (perhaps Manager) gave me a rude and stern look, questioning why we haven't left the room yet. Additionally, contacted the front desk to extend a courtesy late check-out of 1pm as 3 of us were very ill due to food poisoning, and yet we were denied. As a guest, one would expect a little more accommodation based on each unique circumstance, and the requests in my opinion were more than reasonable. Nonetheless, very likely will not be returning.

Nice facilities but very limited dining options around the hotel. If you are in Lyon for sightseeing etc, you will need to go back and forth between the city center and the hotel.

Terrible service at all levels, particularly in the restaurant. After making a reservation and twlli g the host, I told hom where I would be and then pointed. A 1/2 wait turned into an hour I checked back in with him. No recall of the reservation, I waited agaim for a 1/2 hour and was seated. They brought part of my ordet and forgot the entree. During that wait they messed Up 3 other orders.

Enjoyable stay
Enjoyed my stay here. It is a little out of the way but travel in and out of the city on public transport is straightforward - assuming the services are running. Breakfast was good but the bread choices were limited especially on the second morning where there was only 1 option apart from pastries and cakes. I would return. The room was nice and spacious with the benefit of a sofa too. TV was very limited with no subtitle or original language option ( now available in many hotels). No radio options either but there are probably not so many people nowadays who like this option.

Decent stopover
The room was lovely (as expected) and very clean. Air conditioning was OK, though I like the room a little cooler. The pool wasn't very big and was very crowded (mostly young children), so we didn't use it in the end. We ate at the hotel, but the food was not great quality for the price. Reception staff were great as it was very busy.

Clean, modern hotel with a nice lobby bar and good buffet breakfast. The pool is much smaller than we expected and was in the shade during the hours we could have used it, which was a shame. The hotel is on the river near the Confluence, about an hour’s walk from Place Bellecour.

Good, motorcycles pay the same fair for the parking but bicycle are free... the barrier does not automatically open for motorcycles. I was stuck in the hill waiting for a car (5mn) in a down hill.

Stayed away from this hotel if there is a chance that you might have to change your travel plans. I needed to advance my stay by two days, andrängte them a note via Expedia to that effect. They never answered anY of my mails (4 in total!). When I finally called them they refused to change the date and also declined to refund the money for my unused rooms. Very bad service!!!!!

For some reason in the room of the 4th floor when I opened my windows it had a smell of cigarette smoke. Couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. Otherwise it was a really good hotel.

What distinguishes this hotel is the staff that really makes your travel an easier and more enjoyable experience. The hotel itself is reasonably well located and clean. The breakfast is good. I can only recommend it to other travelers to Lyon

Fabulous check in staff. We greatly benefited from them arranging a complimentary second twin room as opposed to the boiled family room as they happened to have one free and saw that my 14 year old son was the size of a large adult. Couldn’t rate the customer care more highly.

Not a great experience overall. Hallway and rooms had an odor of old carpeting, tap water had an odor of sulpher/eggs (Didn’t find this to be the case in either of our other Lyon hotels). Bathroom didn’t seem properly cleaned, we found long dark hair all over the floor. They were happy to move us across the hall, which was slightly better but still not great. My daughter found another hair on her pillowcase. Buffet was covered in flies. We asked to cancel our second night, which they were again happy to do, as well as issue a refund. Any staff I encountered were very courteous and helpful- but for the money I’d say this place needs some general updating.

The property had a lobby that catered to families. The pool area is quite nice but the pool itself is very small. Lovely little lobby bar. Many unique touches including a map of Lyon with staff members favourite spots in the city noted. Enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very busy on a July weekend. We walked to the city centre - it took about 45 min.

We booked a suite and it was HUGE. There was a living area with a sofa bed and table that is separate from the bedroom. Out of the 5 different hotels we stayed in Amsterdam, Dortmund, Paris, Lyon, and London on our trip, this was easily the nicest one. The location is a little far from the city center, but tram and bus stops are very close by and it is a short ride to either Lyon Perrache or Lyon Part-Dieu. The hotel restaurant was a little pricey, so we did not eat there, and there are plenty of other dining options nearby. My daughter enjoyed the pool and the foosball tables in the lobby.

They did a great job to handle the crowds for the Womens World Cup final. The hotel was full of families. We booked because of the pool, then never used.

Great property, folks at the hotel were a bit overwhelm by so many yanks staying there for the FIFA world cup, but they all kept a good attitude.. Maid service didnt do our rooms, not sure why... Good airconditioner n wifi
