Hotel close to the beachPosted Nov 6, 2013
Location: Activities that you can only do are: - island hopping - snorkleing - scuba diving
We booked our reservation through expedia.ca for 5 persons. The standard number of people who can stay in the room is 2 people. When we checked out, they are charging us for the extra person. However, we already paid for that extra person online. They did not bother to check the detailed charges that we paid. Overall, they are not doing their job properly.

GoodPosted May 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
All in all good. The rooms could have a renovation, bit everything is quite okay, and the staff is typically Filipino super-nice.

My family and I loved Eagle Point, the staff and service was exceptional. If there were healthier and more authentic Filipino food in the menu the place could have been perfect. Also, one suggestion: a pick up from the town to the resort for a surcharge would be nice, as the place was very hard to find on your own (although we really loved the privacy and the seclusion of the place)

Although the rooms were not that new anymore, they do make an effort to make our stay quite comfortable. Food is good and worth it. Love the pool with baby sharks in it.

A one nighter for diversPosted Oct 16, 2012
Pros: Friendly staff and restaurant view
Cons: Condition and upkeep of the hotel
Location: beautiful scenary, but you can't walk anywhere. hard to reach - need to drive through village markets. have to take a shuttle to the hotel itself.
This hotel is a one-nighter for divers but not a destination for a family vacation if you are used to some comfort. On the positive side: very helpful and nice staff, a restaurant with an amazing view and OK food with a good selection of kid appropriate food for all meals. On the not-so positive side: the hotel definitely requires some renovation. The paint is chipping here and there, the view from the rooms is spoiled by tons of cigarette buts on the roofs of the lower floors, the air conditioning units are super loud. Smoking rooms are right next door to non-smoking rooms so instead of enjoying the ocean breeze you end up inhaling other people’s smoke on your balcony. The rooms have very thin walls – you can hear your neighbors whispering. The rooms are very different from the images on the website. There’s a pool with baby sharks and you can feed them. Two swimming pools with one water slide is the highlight. The beach is non-existent – the pebbles are covered in broken glass so you can’t even walk on the rocks and you can’t walk to the next resort or anywhere for that matter, even to your car. The hotel is located on the water front and you can’t reach it in your car. You have to park in the beginning of a very steep and curvy road (the parking is guarded and free for you) and take a small dirty shuttle to the hotel. Hotel porters bring your luggage. You can’t bring any food to the resort. Not a repeater for sure.

Eagle Point Resort Anilao, batangas PhilippinesPosted Mar 20, 2012 on Hotels.com
Hotel is not so new and needs some makeover as far as interior design of rooms are concerned. Staff are all warm and friendly, the boatmen are very courteous and good guides. The salt water pool with black tip sharks ,big rock cod fish, and a big blow fish are nice to see in their habitat while you snorkel. The food was was good except that the grilled food tends to be over cooked. All in all it a good place to go for a weekend relaxation.

Eagle Point Resort in AnilaoPosted Sep 4, 2011 on Hotels.com
The resort is ideally located for divers and is on the higher end of all resorts in Anilao. However, comparing it hotels in any resort location, it leaves a lot to be desired. Primarily, the restaurant food and service is lacking. In the 4 days I spent there they ran out of yogurt, soda and San Miguel light. The service is cheerful but incompetent, they take your order and bring a different dish or inform you that a particular food item is unavailable after they serve you the meal.
