“Good location”
On the busiest day of the year (Mayday) when literally thousands of gamblers cross the borders from China and Hong Kong we were relieved to be able to book a room at a sensible price at the last minute. The location is good, easy walking distance to the historical main square with its pretty Portugese buildings and very close to two large casinos. True we were upgraded to a suite which no doubt improved our view of the hotel but the staff was very attentive and the restaurant bufet was extensive and very good value. As we hadn't arrived until 2.30 am our departure time was extended the next morning - without asking.
“Completely happy to fid this 'Diamond in the rough'.”
Our normal choices were all booked-out, so we took a chance with this Holiday Inn. It was a great choice! Our stay was brief, but an enjoyable experience. Check-in/check-out service was better than most hotels at 10 times the cost. The location is really convenient, with a 5-10 minute walking distance to many of the big casinos and restaraunts. We selected a room with two double-beds, and felt vey comfortable with the size and amenities. The beds and pillows were very clean and comfortable, (not hard as a rock like many hotels). The room was spotless and nicely decorated, and smelled good. The bathroom was of adequate size and very sanitary, with all necessary amenities. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful with any questions we had, and spoke very good English. We have been to Macau several times, (8-9 trips), and stayed at different hotels costing many times the price of this hotel. This Holiday Inn, at a very reasonable cost, was much the better value. It will be our preferred destination for future trips to Macau, and we would recommend to others without hesitation. The only complaint we had was the wait for the hotel shuttle bus at the ferry port. It required about 20 minutes waiting time, but nothing to gripe about.
“Great”
Great location & comfortable reception. I like welcome drinks. Thank you.
“Best bet in Macau for the price”
Location is great. Walking distance to many of the attractions. Hotel is not too impressive from the outside nor in the lobby. Lobby is quite smokey, as they still let you smoke indoors. The rooms are very nice, modern and clean.
“"cant wait to go back"”
i had a wonderful stay at Holiday Inn. Very closed to St Paul Ruins & surrounding area. The staff are very helpful to tourist like suggesting us how to get to other tourist attractions in the area. Had free shuttle bus.
“Good locatin at affordable price.”
Shuttle service to the port was nice.
“Spending the holidays at the Holiday Inn”
Well, since we couldn't afford the gargantuan rates of Venetian Macau, Holiday Inn is not that bad at all. It was clean, accessible, they have free shuttle. All is cool with the Holiday Inn. I'd like to come back there again.
“Good value except for internet”
If this hotel had free internet wifi or wired, then I'd give it higher ratings. The cost of internet relative to cost of room is so high that I find it ridiculous and therefore cannot recommend this hotel.
“as same as Vegas”
reasonable price & good location...
“Location and price is good but the hotel needs refurbishing”
The hotel itself is kind of old as compared to the new & grand hotels that are being built. However, it is very accessible and walking distance to the Macau landmarks that you may wish to visit. It also has a shuttle service every 30 mins that goes to the ferry terminal. So overall, considering the price, the hotel is worth considering
